Fitz or LT for 3rd keeper?

Postby footballfan30107 » Sun Jul 26, 2009 8:37 am

I'm in a league where we're allowed to keep 3 from the previous year. My first two keepers are MJD and Turner. I acquired them both through WW moves several seasons ago and by keeping them I only lose my 6th and 7th round picks.

My problem is with my 3rd keeper and I'm torn. My choice is between Fitz and LT.

If I keep Fitz I lose my first round pick (I draft 9th but based on keepers from other teams will have the 4th or 5th overall pick, then the 6th or 7th overall), but get to draft in the 2nd round. If I keep LT, I gain my first round pick but lose my 2nd.

It's standard yahoo scoring with the exception of .1 for each reception and .1 for each run attempt. I think I have a better shot at regaining LT with a second round pick than I do of regaining Fitz with the 4th or 5th overall. MOST of the elite backs will be held so I'm on the hunt for a 2nd elite WR to compliment Fitz with my first overall pick (6th or 7th).

Whatcha'll think?

I tend to think that Fitz will be the first guy off the board if you don't keep him. I think you absolutely should keep him. Even though you don't have a first, you start off with Turner, MJD and Fitz who are all first round picks. Keep him and don't second guess yourself.

That's kinda my thinkin..I'd start out with 2 of the 3 highest rated RB's and the Nr. 1 rated WR..

Since this league really doesn't grab handcuffs until late, I'd get hold of Sproles in the 5th and wait for LT to get hurt, which is more and more likely with each passing season.

Keep Fitz. That gives you 2 outstanding RB and the best WR in the league. You will lose the 1st, 6th, and 7th picks but you can get a killer QB and depth in rounds 2 through 5

Being that it's a keeper league, this is a no-brainer. You already have 2 of the top 5 ranked RBs on your squad, so keep Fitzgerald. Most people have him ranked as the number 1 reciever in the NFL.

Only reason you do not keep fitz is if you can start 3RB's and you draft. K.Moreno or Wells. That would be looking way into the future and stacking 3RB's.

I would keep fitz though.

Having the RBs you already have, I would keep Fitz as well.

I want to grab a second elite receiver in the 2nd, then get best available RB in the 3rd, then QB then either Gonzo or best available WR..that ought to set me up..I hope..

Keep Fitz and trade LT to somebody who is either trying to win it all this year, or really needs help at RB. You can get a good pick for him in return, I think.
