Stay pat or Pick someone up?

Postby Asskickas » Sun Jul 26, 2009 12:33 pm

This is a 10 teamer league and there seems to be some sleeper potential on the WW. I just want to make sure I have the right guys on my team. Is there a free agent on the list below that you would pick up? Who would you drop...or would you just stay pat?

QB Aaron Rodgers
WR Andre Johnson
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh
RB Maurice Jones-Drew
RB Kevin Smith
TE Kellen Winslow
W/R Fred Jackson
Q/W/R/T Trent Edwards
K --empty--
DEF Green Bay
DEF Jets

Bench
QB Matt Ryan
RB Jonathan Stewart
RB Rashard Mendenhall
RB Ricky Williams
RB Shonn Greene
WR Donald Driver
WR Santonio Holmes
WR Michael Jenkins

Scoring rules
Rush/Receiving
1/10yds, 6/tds, 1PPR, -1 fumble, -1 lost fumble, Bonus 1 @ 95+, 2 @145+, 5 @195+

FREE AGENTS

WR Miles Austin--Terry Glenn 2?
WR Jeremy Maclin--09 version of DeSean Jackson
WR Earl Bennett--could be targeted a lot
WR Issac Bruce--old but timeless 7 tds last year
WR Greg Camarillo--Could be WR1
WR Patrick Crayton--could be WR2 in high scoring offense
WR Matt Jones--is he playing this year?

RB Justin Fargas-- Should be in a RBBC and get many touches
RB Laurence Maroney-- should be the starter
RB Michael Bush-- maybe the best rb in his rbbc
RB Kevin Faulk-- old but timeless
RB Maurice Morris-- cuff Kev Smith?

TE Kevin Boss-- Someone's gotta catch passes

I would drop M. Jenkins for M. Bush. The guy has a ton of potential and I actually think that he may be the best Rb on the Raiders roster. If McFadden goes down, he could post very good numbers.

Upon further analysis, True Niner Fan is absolutely correct! I would definitely drop Jenkins and pick up Bush! ;-D
(sorry, don't know how I missed that)

I personally don't think that Ricky Williams is going to be worth owning either...I'd rather have someone with upside like Earl Bennett does as the potential #1 for Jay Cutler this year.

I really do like maclin!! I think Mcnabb is really gonna spread the field this year and Maclin should benefit from a lot of deep looks with his noted strong first step. But I also like Micheal Bush's upside with his 4 big games last year. I've actually been thinkin about grabbin him....but le'ron mclain is still available. Should I take him??? Didn't even think of that. Thanks for the help with mine.

I would drop either Edwards or Jenkins and pick up Maclin. It may take a little while for Maclin to steal the job from Curtis, but Maclin is a true play maker that won't be kept off the field. I find Maclin much more exciting because of his upside than Edwards or Jenkins.

i like jenkins this year. i don't see anyone worth dropping anybody for. at least not until i see them prove themselves on the field. if it weren't for lynch's suspension i think i'd drop jackson for camarillo, but not under these circumstances. i'd stay put. thanks for the help with mine!
