Who to keep *WHIR*

Postby favreonfire » Mon Jul 27, 2009 2:58 pm

Ok...standard scoring except for 1 pt per 5 receptions and 1 point per 10 rushing attempts...
I took over a guys team in a 12 man league and I am choosing between L.T. and Andre Johnson for my keeper. I also have the 10th pick in the 12 man draft. I am leaning toward one, but I want to know what you guys think. Thanks a lot!

LT over Andre....I definitely like Andre, had him last year and him and Fitzy pretty much won it for me. But I was faced with a similar dilemma. I had Fitzy and LT to choose from in my Bro-in-laws keeper league that I just joined. LT is geared up for a big year and is very motivated. Norv Turner has said he thinks Tomlinson will win the rushing record, and his teamates have been quoted saying, "He's pissed off about last season". I dont like the guy, but I think this may be a HUGE year for LT. Just a clueless guys opinion. help with mine if you have time....thanks.

click my name then the add/drop question. Thanks again.

Your PPR rules don't really net a whole lot of extra points...

I would keep LT. He has been a mid-to-late first round pick in most redraft leagues. With everyone keeping a player, that gives you more options at the 1.10 -- keeping AJ would almost force you to take a RB at the 1.10, and it might end up being a reach...

Good luck!

that scoring really favors RBs-if andre catches 100 balls next year, a pretty remarkable accomplishment, he gets an extra 20 points added to his total score.

if LT makes 300 rushing attempts next year (and i think he will, maybe even closer to 325) he's going to add 30+ points to his total score.

to put it into perspective, 3 WR's last year had 100+ catches, while 25 RBs had 200 rushes or more. each would net you a +20 bonus. couple that with RB's catching passes and WR's rarely getting rushing attempts-- pass-catching/high-workload RBs should score a TON.

i think LT fits into that category, and thusly, i would keep him.
