Should I ADD/DROP here??? WHIR!

Postby mrjack81 » Mon Jul 27, 2009 3:08 pm

I have Scheffler and Boss for tight ends....guys like maclin, le'ron mclain, and pretty much all the younger WR and RBs are available. Should I drop scheffler since denver is probably lookin now at having a blocking tight end, instead of a receiving TE. Any comments are appreciated and I WHIR. THanks again.

My 1st team 1qb, rb, rb/wr, wr,wr,te,dst,k

Donovan = LT = ryan grant = randy moss = calvin johnson = scheffler = jets = kasay BENCH == Thomas Jones = Larry johnson = Leon Washington = Lee evans = Bernard Berrian = Percy Harvin = Trent Edwards

how many teams in the league? in an 8-10 teamer you should drop one of your TEs for a skill position player. there will be someone available on the WW for you to grab on the bye week. in this case, yes, i'd dump scheff and go for a high upside WR/RB to replace him.

in larger leagues, 12-16, there's a bit more of a reason to hang on to two TE's.

I'd say its a safe drop...but only if you can def. get some value from an add. I think Denver will get back to the ground game with Moreno/Jordan and Boss will be a redzone target all year with Plex out of the picture.

Would Le' Ron Mclain be a good swap for scheffler?? 10 team league. He really broke out in a couple games last year.

if someone like bernard scott is on the WW, i'd grab him before le'ron. mcclain is going to be on fullback duties for most of the year and i think he will be a TD vulture at best to ray rice. glen coffee is also worth a look. these guys back up cedric benson and frank gore, respectively, but they both could see legitimate time by the end of the year, particularly scott. you could also grab jerome harrison, jamal lewis's successor.
