Pick 3 keepers

Postby ultraexpress » Mon Jul 27, 2009 4:07 pm

Hello everyone,

I have a very tough decision to make this year, and I would like your help. We are allowed to keep 3 players, and here are the four that I have to choose from:
Michael Turner, Maurice Jones-Drew, Matt Forte, Drew Brees

The other top quarterbacks are being kept, so with the exception of Brees, the next best QB available to draft will be McNabb, and Rivers.

The other option is most of the top RB's will be kept with the exception of Westbrook, LT, and Stephen Jackson.

Who would you keep. I have the 6th pick in the draft. It is an 8 team league.
I have always leaned toward keeping the 3 best RB's, and I am leaning toward doing this again, but I need help here. I know that the guy picking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are taking RB's in draft since three of them are keeping star QB's. The guy picking 5th is keeping 3rb's so he is probably looking best WR or QB.
Any help will be appreciated.

There is no doubt that you keep the 3 rb's. Having 3 top 5 Rb's is very rare and I would not break up that trio. You never know, you might be able to get Brees back with your first round pick.

can't break up that trio. and from what you're saying, it sounds like you may even be able to pick up moss/fitz/AJ with your #6 overall if the first 3 guys go RB. i would do that, and then start thinking about QBs.

If you start 2RB and 1 flex no questions asked keep them.

I dont care what league it is keep Forte, MT and MJD. :-L That makes me sick to even read that you get those 3 guys. WTF was your league doing? Good lord.

PS: you can get a QB later, no on EVER gets RB's like that.

Yeah, Jones-Drew was dropped by a guy in our league last year because he didn't perform well for the first couple weeks. I snagged him immediately and let him sit on my bench till he started performing well. Forte was a draft pick that I took a chance on in the 7th round. Yeah, he made it that far down. I was more than happy with those RB's, and as it stands right now, I will either have Brees with the 6th pick this year or Fitz, Andre Johnson, or another great WR at that pick. The way the league rules work, I would like to get Brees back before the WR, because we get return yards as well and some of the great return guys put up as good numbers as many of the WRs, but the QB's were a big drop off after the top 4 last year.

Thanks for the help, and you confirmed what I was thinking in keeping the three star RB's.
