Chris Johnson, Ten RB Steve Slaton, Hou RB Matt Ryan, Atl QB Ryan Grant, GB RB
Which one of these 4 players should I keep? Right now I'm torn between Chris Johnson and Slaton. Both are valuable in a PPR league but I'm leaning toward Slaton because he gets virtually all the workload since the Texans don't have a reliable No. 2 and Chris Johnson will prob be splittin carries with Lendale White. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
H2H, 10 team PPR league Start: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 WR/RB, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1 K
1)Chris Johnson 2)Steve Slaton . . . . . . . . 3)Ryan Grant.........not even a consideration compared to Johnson/Slaton, especially in PPR . . 3.5)Whale Poo . . 4)Ryan.....I ran out of room to scroll down!
You may well hear arguments for Slaton over Johnson; they are valid as both should be 1st round talent. You won't get ridiculed for retaining either, but it's a TWO horse race, Grant and Ryan are not even close to being options. I wouldn't take grant in the 2nd round, and I wouldn't take Ryan until the double digit rounds as he is low end QB1.
Hope this helps, and best of luck
Kudos to the uberdesigner 'soty' for the sig!

Im wary of CJ the RB position is the only successful part of that team and CJ has tons of upside but i view him as the new Reggie Bush!
Slaton has all the great tangibles around him Elite WR, Great albeit injury prone QB, which means less crowded lines. He also doesnt have a LWhite type player breathing down his neck
I have Slaton > CJ in 09'
Just my 2 cents.
QB Vick, Schaub RB Rice, Gore, Brad, Hightow, Jacobs WR V Jax, M Will T, Ocho, Marsh, Maclin TE [b]Lewis[/b}
I have a similar situation to you with debating on Slaton as one of my keepers. He will definitely go in the 1st round of pretty much all drafts. I have Grant too and never did I consider keeping him.
He's a guy you can pick up. The same with Ryan.
With White around, I would tend to lean Slaton for you especially with the PPR - Slaton had 50 receptions last year alone.
Lendale reported to camp 30 lbs lighter and in much better shape than last year's campaign. As a result, Fisher went on record saying they'd like to use him more, which means 10-15 carries per game plus all goal line looks. Houston didn't back up Slaton with a RB in the draft and though questions have surfaced about him being able to handle the workload because he is a smaller sized back, he is still the work horse, won't split carries and sees a ton of check down looks making him highly valuable in PPR. Slaton edges CJ for me.
