Brees for AJ? WHIR

10-team 3-keeper league, PPR, 6pt TDs, heavy bonus points for 300yds passing and 100yds rushing/receiving.

8th pick but our snake doesn't start until round 5. So I'll have picks: 4.08, 5.08, 6.03.

Right now I'm keeping Brees, Gore, Wayne.

However, I have an opportunity to trade Brees for AJ straight up.

I think the question here is: Will Brees have more 300yds passing games than AJ 100yds receiving. I will side with Brees having more 300yds plus games, I would stick with Brees.

My thought would be to stick with Brees. You don't really mention your starter requirements. Also, do you know if many QBs will be around in the draft.

I think you can find more WRs later in the draft when you need RBs with only Gore early. That means you might take a pretty big hit in having to select a QB in the early rounds if you want a decent one considering more would agree that Brees is in the top 4 at the position.

Then you could focus your first couple rounds on 2 RBs and a WR or something.

For what it's worth... In 2008, Brees had 9 300 yard games. AJ had 8 100 yard games, including 1 over 200 yards. That's pretty even.

Boy... tough call here. I have Brees as my #1 QB and AJ as my #3 WR.

The deciding factor for me here is that it is PPR. I choose AJ. That gives you 2 of my top-5 WRs to start, not a bad way to go in a PPR league.

I would make the trade and get AJ. #1 WR's who have the potential for 100 catches and double digit TD's are rare. You will be able to draft a QB who will throw for plenty of yards and TD's like Warner, Rodgers, Romo, McNabb, Rivers etc. Good luck finding a WR like AJ in the draft.

Agreed. The difference in the top WRs to the second or third tier of WRs is much different than the difference of top tier QBs to second or third tier QBs. I would do this trade and try and land a QB like Rodgers, Romo or Rivers.
