B Edwards & 3.1 for 1.3 & 2.3

Postby irish158 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 12:18 pm

would you do this trade. I would be giving up Edwards and my 3.1 for his 1.3 and 2.3. The other owner is warm to the idea. I need to rebuild.
My roster
Palmer, Garcia
Westbrook, C Williams
Edwards, S Moss, Chambers, McDonald, B Johnson, Burress?
Scheffler, Watson

I am just looking for draft picks in our 3 rd rookie draft.
Dynasty league Y! scoring basic except .5ppr

Thanks for the help

No way should you do this trade. I view 3rd round rookie picks as being pretty worthless. There is no way you should give up a #1 WR with huge upside for some draft picks that you will probably end up cutting. I wouldn't even trade him for a 2nd round rookie pick.

I completely agree. Edwards has too much ability. Sure the Browns have floundered recently, but Mangini could be righting the ship. With no Cronnell, the Browns should have a #1 QB in place for opening day and allow Edwards to focus. The old offense never really utilized a vertical passing game and liked running dumb short stop routes or quick slants for WRs where the had Winslow like two yards away.

Keep your top WR.

I'd go for it. Braylon has been over hyped ever since being in the league. He has just 1 (fluke) year where he and Derek Anderson went bananas. Before that and since then his #s have been basically the same....3-6 tds/yr and 55yds/game. This is the norm for Braylon. I guess everyone thinks he's a stud because he has a cool sounding name? Do the deal and start over with a guy like Maclin @ 1.3 and the best available @ 2.3. Braylon is currently hurt btw so sell while you still can. $.02
