Rookie draft help

Postby irish158 » Sat Aug 01, 2009 3:24 pm

I have the 1.1 and 1.5 picks in the 1st round of our 3 rd rookie draft. I have been liking Wells more and more but most and close to all sites have Moreno #1 ovr. I view Denver as having no direction although early with a new staff and ARZ as steady. What do you think and where can I get a hold of a good rookie ranking with notes on the individual players.

Thanks for any input. WHIR, just leave link.

I have the rookies ranked:
Moreno
Wells
D. Brown
Crabtree
McCoy

I have found that the cafe is pretty split on who should be the #1 rookie picked. There are many threads about Wells and Moreno. Just look around the cafe and you will see a lot of different opinions.

Wells is in a pass first offense and he is oft injured. Do you really want a guy with a long injury history before he even plays a down in the NFL?

Pick Moreno.

When two players are pretty close (like Wells and Moreno are) I like to look at the situation, because for rookies, it can mean the world.

Moreno isn't signed and Denver is in complete turmoil.
Wells is signed and Arizona seems to know what they are doing now (thanks to Whisenhunt, Grim, etc)

Rookies who miss part of training camp have a larger chance to struggle than those who are in camp, like Wells is. dynasty or not, often times rookie years define players and if its this close Moreno may be more talented but Wells will be better prepared and ready. And it comes down to how you perform.

Wells is my choice.

Pick Moreno.

"According to ESPN.com's Mike Sando, Beanie Wells left Saturday's practice early with an ankle injury."

1st practice = 1st injury.

Snowflakes are more durable than Wells. :-b

My team needs a total overhaul and I know I won't be very good this year again. So I am leaning toward Moreno for the long haul.

Thanks for all the help.
