What Strategy would you have Drafting #1

Postby mnViking » Sat Aug 01, 2009 9:51 pm

12-team league, non-ppr and no carryovers (not dynasty league).

Have pick #1 and thinking RB, then thinking maybe WR, WR or QB..... RB seem pretty deep this year.....

6pts-TD for QB/RB/WR, 1pt 25yd-QB, 15yd-WR/RB, etc.

A lot of time to watch players go off the board, but then #24/25 will be huge!!! If Brees is there....do I grab him?!?!?

Just bcos its 15yds/pt for RB/WR u gotta take a QB by Round 3.

I think u can go RB-WR-QB.

Am sure u wont get Brees by then. people wud b stupid to leave him in such a scoring format. If u get him...take him with eyes closed.

Also, I would try to get RBs of high Octane Offences...so that u can score more TDs..instead of RBs running 150yds to get 10 pts...u can get same # of points from a 60yd 1Td RB.

At 6 points per QB TD, by the time your 2nd round pick comes around you can bet Brees/Brady/Peyton/Warner will all be off the board. You should actually try to trade out of #1 lol. At 6 points per TD, one could argue Brady should be the first player taken. Even coming back from injury he should top 30 TDs.

Take ADP at number one. Then either go WR/WR with your second and third pick or if you get a RB worth the value at 2.12 then a WR at 3.01
A win next week and all is forgotten.

I would say try your best to trade the pick, or even just swap draft positions with someone picking 4-8, then, given your settings, take a QB.
