I'm in a 10-team keeper league where I have to keep 3 Offensive players and 3 Defensive players. Half of the choices are no brainers, I will have Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones-Drew, and DeMarcus Ware.
For my final offensive keeper, Ive narrowed it down to one of Matt Ryan, Dwayne Bowe, Roy Williams, or Braylon Edwards (Wildcards Eddie Royal/Vincent Jackson/Ray Rice?). The league scoring favors QBs a bit, Ryan scored 192 last year as the #13 QB while Bowe scored 179 as the #16 WR. Edwards and Williams scored considerably less with their down years, but the bounceback chance warrants consideration.
I'm pretty unsure of which way to go, but I am leaning Ryan a bit as I think in a couple years he'll be a top 5 QB, and in this scoring system thats very valuable.
On defense its between five guys, Paul Posluszny, Chad Greenway, Antonio Cromartie, Antoine Winfield, and Osi Umenyiora. One of the two slots will go to one of the linebackers for sure, but I'm unsure of which one, and what to do with the last slot. Winfield was the #3 CB last year and put up points similar to a top LB, and that is comparitively worth more than a LB. I'm just not sure if its repeatable. I also figure Cromartie could bounceback to do something big.
I lean toward Posluszny for slot 1 because a lot of Greenway's points last year were concentrated into about two games. For slot 2 I'm itching to take the risk in Winfield.
I think if you are looking to build your team for the future I may keep Bowe. He has put up very good numbers in his first two years and now has a offensive minded head coach and a better qb, so he has the potential to be a top 10 wr for the next 5-6 years. As far as your defensive players I would keep all of your lb's, Pols. and Greenway and if you have to keep Winfield. Good luck.
I would keep Bowe for your offensive keeper. I think that he is going to blow up this year. I am not an IDP guy, so I can't help you there. I will leave that one to the experts

bowe for sure^ and while i'm not an IDP expert, i have dabbled. i like posluszny over greenway, and while i think the chargers D is going to be thrown against more this year, and cromartie should have some more chances to make plays, i'm not sure you can take a risk on him when you have such a solid choice in winfield.

As much as I like Matt Ryan, I agree with the others, when only three offensive players are kept, very few of them will be QBs so it shouldn't be tough to find a good one in the draft. Dwayne Bowe should be your third offensive keeper.
For defense, Antoine Winfield is going to consistently rank among the leagues best defensive backs for fantasy purposes. He's one of the best (if not the best) tackling CBs in the league. Year after year, he's at the top of the tackling list for defensive backs due to his hard-hitting playing style and his ability to help in the run game. 2008 was the fourth year in his career he has gone over 90 TOTs, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him do it again. He's probably not the best real life CB (that likely goes to Nnamdi Asomugha), but he is the best for fantasy purposes.
Your last defensive keeper I'd go with Osi Umenyiora. Both Greenway and Paul Posluszny are excellent players, but neither really compare with the elite fantasy players of the position. Plus, Greenway will lose tackles as the Vikings welcome back E.J. Henderson at MLB. Meanwhile, Osi has a good chance to finish as a top 5 DL once again. I wouldn't let his injury scare you off, all reports suggest that he's fully recovered.
I'm definitely leaning Bowe now, and will probably keep him over Ryan. I have the #3 pick in the draft and will most likely draft Ryan back if Moreno is drafted 1 or 2 like I expect.
On Defense, I'm now looking at Umenyiora and Polomalu, who I acquired in a trade giving away Roy Williams.
