I just made my first pick. I ended up going with another RB. I tood Benson. He was the only starter left really and with the RBs almost all but gone I had to take one so I have some insurance. Now with my next pick coming up I am on the fence. I know quite a few of you are saying to go with a QB. While I agree with you that I need a little insurance with Palmer, I think the QBs that are left are not much different. Which means if I picked one now or with the next pick it wouldnt make all that much of a difference. Now if Manning is still there I will go with him no doubt, but I dont expect him to be. If he is gone which I expect I was thinking of going with a Cotchery. He is the guy on his team and being it is a PPR league a WR like him wouldnt be a back pick no?

What do you guys think I should do...still think a QB is the pick here or if there is someone better should I try for them and then go QB the next time around? I was thinking Cotchery here and Stafford next pick so I would have a young QB to build around.

I ended up taking Orton. I figure he is someone I can plug in and get production from if Palmer goes down. Eli without Plax scared me and I thought it was a stretch to take Stafford so early.

know have picks 4.06, 4.10, 5.03 and 5.12 coming up. I am thinking best available TE, WR and then whatever the best offensive player is available. Maybe a handcuff spot for Fargas/ Williams?

Right now my team looks like this:

QB- Palmer, Orton
WR- AJohnson, SSmith, Welker
RB- RBrown, McFadden, Stewart, Benson

I am still looking at Stafford later in the draft, but right now I am happy with a combo of Palmer/Orton. I still would like to get Stafford, but it wont be until later on. If he is there I will grab him if not I am fairly confident in my duo I have already. I have 3 stud WRs and a potential sleeper in Morgan. When healthy he did pretty good last year, he is impressing in camp and Crabtree is still a no show. My RBs are good, not great, but I could do worse. Benson is not the greatest option but he is technically the starter and he was the only one around at the time so I grabbed him. I went back and forth with the TE spot. Miller was my gut so in the end I went with him. He is clearly Russel's favorite target, they will be playing from behind most of the time which means passing and I think his TDs can go up with a new coach who semi what knows what he is doing in the red zone. Now I am focusing on my D spots. I was pretty pumped to get Baltimore after PIT, NYG and MIN were already selected. Baltimore doesn't have a bye till week 7 so I feel like I can just draft them and deal with adding a new team when I need to. I am thinking of going with IDP players now. Then from there just take the best available/handcuff/sleeper type of players. My current team is below how do you guys think I am doing so far??

QB- Carson Palmer, Kyle Orton
WR- Andre Johnson, Steve Smith(CAR), Wes Welker, Josh Morgan
RB- Ronnie Brown, Darren McFadden, Jonathan Stewart, Cedric Benson
TE- Zach Miller
K-
DEF- Baltimore Ravens
DL-
LB-
DB-

We start QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R(flex), K, DEF, DL, LB, DB

Don't know if JJ is still around but he is a new and improved JJ this year and is running under Mora's zone blocking scheme which he loves. Coach has expressed confidence in him and Hassleback is back which means less loading up on the run by defenses.
JJ could be a late round RB steal?

No man sorry Jones was actually kept by someone who was even more desperate at RB than I was. Any other ideas? Also what do you think of my team so far?

Great team so far soty. I'd focus on IDP and look for one more decent WR (since you start three) in the next few rounds.

At RB and QB I think you're in good shape. Just grab a sleeper RB later in the draft and you'd be fine at that position IMO.

Wow great huh? First time I have ever heard that with my keeper team and I will definitely take it. ;-D I am focusing on the IDP's now. I have 3 picks coming up and I will probably fill all 3 spots with those picks. Then I will get one more WR (had planned to) and maybe a RB late, late in the draft. We'll see. Thanks for the advice. ;-D
