In my 10 team dynasty league (performance scoring), I hold the #3 rookie pick. Moreno and Wells have already gone and I am assessing what I should do with the pick. I have just been offered Ryan Grant, Brandon Jackson, Tim Hightower, and the owner's 1st rd rookie pick in 2010 for my #3 and #15 picks. Should I do it? If not, who should I draft? The owner at #4 wants crabtree and would be willing to trade up to nab him as well. Thoughts?

I would take D. Brown at #3. Since the owner with the 4th pick wants Crabtree you are in a great spot. I would offer the owner with the 4th pick, your #3 pick for his 4th pick and a first next year. See how bad he wants Crabtree.

I like the idea of swapping picks with the guy behind you if he will give up his 1st rounder next year -- and I agree I would select Brown there, especially since you have Addai.
If you can't swap with him, I would probably pull the trigger on the other deal. Your squad is strong enough that you don't need Brown that badly -- Grant becomes a great 4th RB for your squad, you get his backup (although I would watch Lumpkin during the preseason), a depth back in Hightower, and a 1st rounder next year.... I think it's a pretty good deal. I may look at swapping out Hightower for a WR though.... Hightower is no better than 6th on your RB depth chart.

I agree with this mindset as well. See how much you can pull from the owner in the 4th spot. If he starts to balk at trading, tell him you're going to trade with the other owner then and you know he wants Crabtree as well. Then from the 4th spot, take DBrown, regardless of needing him or not as he is the best pick there and makes even more sense for you since you have Addai already.

Love the theory, but cant see this in practice. If the other guys you a 2011 1st rounder to move up from 4th to 3rd this draft then you have absolutely robbed him
Get whatever you can from the #4, use all means and spin to make him think that YOU or ANOTHER owner are wanting to take Crabtree at #3.
heck, even this would duit me;
your 1st and 4th (38th overall) for his 1st an 3rd (24th overall)

the guy at #4 grew wise and decided he wasn't willing to trade up. I took McCoy over Brown, because long term I prefer McCoy and I prefer to get less colts (have manning, addai, clark, and wayne). So my plan is to deal addai. The guy with the #5 pick just took brown. Should I offer him addai and desean jackson for the #6 pick (would take greene) and chester taylor (to back up AP)?

You have ELEVEN WR's. so losing DJax is bearable for sure. I'd rather have Taylor than DJax personally given your roster set up.
I'd take the #6 pick ( Shonn Greene) as Addai will likely have quite a bit less value this time next year as Brown learns his trade and Greene will be the more valuable of the two.
