Pierre Thomas?

Postby Minnesota Guy » Tue Aug 04, 2009 8:33 am

Is Pierre Thomas worth a 3rd round pick in a 10 man league. 1 pt per 10 yards rushing/receiving. 6 pts per TD. I am keeping Moss and probably taking Slaton with my first pick which the 6th pick. Would I be reaching for Pierre Thomas with the 15th pick on the way back. Keep in mind that its a 1 man keeper league so the 15th pick is actually the 25th pick which would be equal to the 3rd round pick.

Thoughts?

depends on who else is available, but that seems to be fair value for him

Agreed, would need to know who else is available. I haven't updated my rankings in a few weeks but I have Thomas as the #18 RB but really, he could be 6-8 spots behind a WR that is available to you.

Well, thats kind of the issue. The following WR's are projected to be on the board at this pick. Greg Jennings and Anquan Boldin. Would you rather take one of those guys and hope P. Thomas slides to the next round?

In a non PPR, I would probably take Pierre but it is close between him adn Jennings. Boldin is not in the equation for me.

id take jennings or Boldin ahead of Pierr and hope he slides to the next round. If he's gone, you could probably get a similar RB, maybe Bush, Lynch, Wells, Moreno in the following round.

Like everyone else said, it all depends on who is available, you never know who will slide to you at a certain round, but mid third round sounds like a good spot for Thomas. Good luck.

ESPN rankings have him at #41. A 3rd round would be a little reach, but a good value depending on who is left and you need a RB2.
