My pre-draft roster is: Rogers-QB, S.Smith, Jennings-WR, Westbrook, Barber3, CJohnson, Forte-RB. We start 2QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1WR/TE, 1WR/RB/TE, TE, K, DEF. 7 Bench spots. 2 IR spots. 40yds pass=1pt, 10yds rush/rec=1pt, All Tds=6, turnover=-2, 1 rec= 0.25 pts. 3 pt bonuses at 125yds rec/rush, 350yds pass.
Head to Head, 8 team league, 56 players kept : I have picks 6 and 11. I'll get at least 2 of these players. Hopefully McNabb is still around at 6, I think I will go with him if he's there, but that is a stretch since one guy ahead of me at 5 did not keep a QB. Let me know if I left someone off that should be considered. LEAVE A LINK! Rank these peeps!
Boldin-WR Ryan Grant-RB Kevin Smith-RB B.Marshall-WR J.Addai-RB J.Witten-TE A.Gates-TE A.Bryant-WR R. Williams-WR D.McNabb-QB B. Edwards-WR OchoCinco-WR L. Johnson-RB K.Moreno-RB
given that you are stacked at RB and that you can start 3 WR's in this league, i would rank them as such:
Boldin Marshall Gates (i'd shore up your TE position with a stud rather than add RB depth) Witten Moreno (In a 7 player keeper, he's got some long term value for sure) Ocho (I'm drinking the comeback kool-aid, great WR3) McNabb (i prefer skill position players rather than reaching on QBs in 2QB leagues, i think you can find solid talent later on) Grant LJ Smith Addai (these three are a wash to me, each has their own problems/upside:) R. Williams Edwards Bryant
So you already have 4 RB's rostered and mostly young so RB can wait.
McNabb (you gotta start 2 so he is #1 imo) Marshall Witten Boldin (oops...forgot him the first time around) Braylon (yeah, I can't stand him much either but I am giving him one more shot this year)
with 4 RB already kept for you id make McNabb priority #1 especially with a 2QB set up... and with you already rosting 2 WR ontop of it i would rank them in terms of your needs, not necessarily in terms of value per player... ranks...
McNabb - its a need to have 2 QBs and 2 strong QBs is a big help, your still going to have to go after one later for the bye weeks so go for one now and one later on... Witten - again you have 4 Rb and 2 WR so this would round out your starting lineup (if you get McNabb with first pick) then you would only need to snatch up a W/T to fully fill your roster out... Marshall - i drop him below these 2 simply because of the QB switch, coaching switch, all the distractions with player signings and not to mention hes upset with the situation in Denver... Boldin - i think the more sure pick here but WR2 behind the most dominant WR in the league to rob a ton of touches...
you are sitting in a great situation with your keepers, but you have to target a big time QB2 and then fill your roster out IMO...
Like the others have said, you are absolutely stacked at RB and don't need to worry about the depth for a while. I would rank them something like this: McNabb Boldin Marshall Witten Gates Moreno Grant Ocho Cinco LJ Smith Edwards Addai Roy Williams Bryant
McNabb - you need another QB Boldin Marshall - Orton and him being a whiner is making me skittish of him this year Gates R. Williams - definitely below Boldin and Marshall, but the next safest bet with these WRs K. Smith - He is going to be good and can be trade bait Ocho Cinco - He is saying all the right things Witten - Top 3 at TE Bryant - I see him struggling this year with no Garcia Addai Moreno Edwards LJ
Mcnabb and Boldin with those first two picks. I think if Mcnabb is gone I would try and maybe move a WR or RB to upgrade at QB if you so wish but with Boldin your team is looking pretty damn good.
McNabb Boldin Marshall Witten Gates Moreno Grant Ocho Cinco LJ Smith Edwards Addai Roy Williams Bryant
That is my ranking as well. If mcnabb is gone I would go Boldin and then Witten if you could.
McNabb(pairing him with Rodgers in this league will be beastly, can definitely afford to not to RB or WR here) Boldin Marshall Witten Gates K Smith Moreno Grant
