Draft strategy opinions- PPR keeper (Forte) league WHIR

Postby blmurs » Wed Aug 05, 2009 10:18 am

I have a great problem to have and am wondering peoples opinions on draft strategy. I have Forte as my keeper with no consequences, and am drafting 5th in my 12 team ppr league. With my 1st pick, should I draft a rb, (one of MJD, S. Jackson or LT will be there) or a WR, Larry Fitz if he's there? Also, what if Fitz is gone, which means Jackson or MJD will be available, do I draft one of them or draft Andre Johnson? Having a stud rb on my team for free really sets me up this year, but I don't want to screw it up! What do people think? WHIR

Update: There are no other keepers in the league that would be drafted in the top 30.
Also, for skill positions, we start 2 rb's and 3 wr's.

First what is your starting roster consit of? Also i take it that MJD, S. Jax and LT were not keepers in this league? I say with your 5th pick you take on of the RB's you stated. if they are gone and Fritz is available i would jump on that.

I think a lot of it depends on who is available to you. Do you know who all of the keepers are already? If you have that list and your are drafting 5th overall I would rank your players and take the best player available. If you have MJD, SJax ranked one and two for remaining players and they are gone and Fitz is your highest player left than take him, but don't reach for anyone with that pick. IMO I still would like to have 2 top rb's on my roster and then go after my wr's and qb's after that. Good luck.
