The Burner?

Postby JOBA » Wed Aug 05, 2009 12:42 pm

OK we keep 3 players in a 12 team league. I have to choose from AJ, westy, LT, Steve Smith, and CJ4.24. We dont have a limit on seasons to keep, so to get younger, im thinking of the following:

I keep AJ and CJ, and then either LT or Westy.

Then i trade either LT or Westy(whichever the other owner likes) AND my 1st rd pick for Turner.

Would that be a good idea?

AJ #1WR for years to come
CJ #1 RB for years to come (white is gone next year)
Keeper???? or 1st round draft pick. or trade both for Burner

If you can trade a LT and 1st round for Turner that gives you two younger stud RB's and a Top WR for the next few years. Or you can keep LT who is a #1 RB and will be a solid #2 for 2-4yrs and draft a guy like Moreno, Wells. Giving you 3RB options and AJ.

Since you have CJ and AJ I would do the trade for Turner if you can. CJ,Burn,AJ is a great core to build around!!!!!

IMO LT + a 1st (or 4th as it essentially is) isnt worth Turner...it's not that unlikely that LT outperforms him. you can always find a 3rd keeper at some point

The decision is easy; AJ, CJ and LT. If you really want to get younger see if you can deal LT and something for MJD or Forte, but that would be it.

So that's basically LT, a 4th and a 6th for Turner and a 7th? I'll pass. If you think Turner will out produce LT, it won't be by much. Not worth it IMO.

Yeah your having to give to much. As I mentioned above I would look for Moreno, Wells.

That gives you a great team this year and a rookie 22/23yr old to keep for years to come.
