Postby spyder0314 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 1:34 pm

espn regular snake 10 team league
I got offered for my brees/moreno for his barber/rodgers, should i do it?

my team
brees
gore
portis
d ward
calvin johnson
bowe
winslow
vikings
bench: v jackson, royal, moreno, wells, brown, hasselbeck, ginn

i think i got the better end of this deal cuz i got 3 rookie rb as bench, want to have atleast 1 stud rb on the bench, but wat do u guys think? and still get a stud qb in rodgers although not as good as brees.

umm. NO

Brees with Gore/Portis/Moreno/Ward is HUGE. You do not need a RB. That is the order I have them ranked as well. You have 4 top 20 RB's.....Does not get any better with the #1 QB.

NO

anymore opinions? the thing is i already accepted the trade, is it really a bad trade for me?the thing is i got 3 rookie rb which i think is a little too much, i can live with 2 with brown and wells. getting barber i think is big cuz hes one of the top rbs as well and might even be bigger this season. getting rodgers and losing brees i think isnt that big since rodgers was pretty good last year too and might be better this year.

It wasn't a terrible trade. I understand where you are coming from. Now you have Gore, Barber and Portis to work with. You wanted a safe bet in a backup RB. Rodgers isn't that much of a downgrade from Brees either.

I don't think I would have pulled the trigger on this trade. I have confidence in Moreno and Ward to produce this year. If you weren't sure, you went with the safer bet in Barber which isn't a bad thing.

You should have stood pat in my opinion. I like taking chances on the young RBs though. And you are basically hoping Barber maintains his touchdown totals, since you know you are not getting huge yardage totals, especially with those other 2 backs.
