Where do you guys rank Rice at this point. RB3? Solid Flex? Low end #2? Everything I have read thus far into camp talks about how great he is doing and is the clear cut #1 RB in the system. With McClain at FB its not hard for Rice to get 80/20 over McGhee. McClain will get most goal line I assume but Rice has some great hands and could put up 1300 total yards. 900rush 400rec 6+TD.

I'm just wondering what you guys think. I can keep him this year but reallllyyyyyy want to land him as my keeper for Next year when McGhee is gone! (1keeper drafted 6th round or later, 1yr). Also correct me if i'm wrong they ran the ball the most in the NFL in 2008....lots to go around!

mmmmmm Beer, Wings, Fooooootballlllll...so close I can taste the pig skin! :-)

Willis McGahee IS gone. He just doesn't know it yet.

I agree...so if that is the case Rice should do as well as T.Jones,FWP....and better than Lewis,Benson types.

No one has thoughts on this guy? Looking like some big upside to him.

I'd put him as a flex right now. As it stands, when the season starts, he's part of a 3-headed monster. Willis may be done, but McClain was big last year. If he gets the majority of carries, like a 70/30 split, I'd put him as a 2. Not to start, though.

I think Rice has huge upside. He is going to be a guy you draft as a third rb that will put up #1 Rb numbers. He is the definition of a sleeper. I have no faith in Mcgahee staying healthy and you know Baltimore is going to run the ball a ton this year. I see Rice as the feature back with McClain stealing the goal line carries.

My thoughts exactly. I like Rice as my RB3/RB4. I think he is going to be a beast once Baltimore realizes that McGahee is shot.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

What round would you guys be targeting Rice in 12 team standard league? I also think he has great sleeper potential but don't want to reach too far for him.

I took him last year in the 7th round with these thoughts in mind. This year its looking very clear he is getting the rock. As long as the ball is not in side the 5yrd line he sould get it. His speed and hands make him a huge weapon, like westy,MJD.

If your not in a very competitive or has some rookies in it. I think you can wait a while, but in my league I doubt he'll last past the 6th round. (we keep players in the 6th or later, so he has more value there)

I just bumped him as my keeper over cutler and A.Gonzo.
