I think Ward is the safer bet, but I like the upside in McFadden a lot.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

Tough Call...

But I like ward more. just bcos of reliability. McFadden might have more upside but when u r going to use Ward more as a backup RB then a more reliable guy is better.

Wait to see what other experts think before pulling the trigger !

i did the trade since i got portis, gore and barber as my starters, so im willing to take a chance on mcfadden, although i know ward is the safer bet.and plus the coach says hell use mcfadden more this season so maybe he can finally breakout. anymore opinions?

i like mcfadden better. he's got a higher upside-and especially in your situation, with plenty of RBs , you're not counting on him, so even if he doenst work out, you'll still be fine. You can afford to take the higher risk, higher reward player. i say good move.

fwiw: in my draft last week, Mcfadden went in the 4th round, Ward in the 6th, both just before i could pick them.

I think he has way more upside and you got a potential stud for a backup. If derrick ward was starting on your team I think I would have advised against it, but since he's not I think it's a good trade for you.
