Which top five picks would you rather have?

Postby bmault » Thu Aug 06, 2009 5:04 pm

Pick one of the following (Forte is my 5th round pick as he is my keeper and the players are estimated available players at the 6th spot in a 12 man non ppr league)

Team 1

1. SJax
2. Brady
3. Bowe
4. Braylon Edwards
5. Forte

Team 2

1.Fitz
2. Barber
3.Pierre Thomas
4. Vincent Jackson
5. Forte

Based on ADP, these are potential players that may be available. I am basically asking if it is worth taking a top 2 Qb in the second round.

Hope this makes sense.

I would rather go with option #2. You get the best WR in the game and Thomas, who is going to get a lot of carries this year. Barber will be a nice plugin for byes/flex spot or trade bait. Jackson will be a strong #2, as well. You can probably pick up a QB like Schaub, McNabb, or Ryan in the 6th, depending on where you pick.
Yay for Offensive Coordinators!!!

I third that. I just don't like taking a QB early in the round because then I feel like I have to play catch-up in the draft. Also, a QB in the later rounds will produce more similar numbers than a RB or WR taken in that second round than the fourth or later.
A win next week and all is forgotten.
