Just drafted, Hows the damage?

Postby Papa » Tue Aug 11, 2009 11:04 am

heh, JK i drafted in a 10 team league but the first coupla rounds it fealt like a 6 man league.

I drafted fourth, let me know what you think please.

QB: Donovan McNab, trent Edwards
RB: MJD (yeah at fourth!!)
RB: ronnie brown
Wr: Reggie wayne
Wr: Antonio Bryant
WR: Santonio Holmes
Te: Witten
K: Gostowski
D: phili eagles

B: Eddie royal
B: josh morgan
B: Devin Hester
B: Rashard Mendenhal
B: Beanie wells
B: knowshon moreno

It got to be slim pickins late in the rounds so i went with all the rookies with a lot of upside. Glad to see willie parker is living up to his usual style (Mendenhal is starting the preseason cause FWP is hurt).

So what do you think? I think im a bit slim on WR and i need MJD and ronnie brown to stay healthy but otherwise i think it's a solid team.
QB: Mcnab,Eli Manning
RB: MJD, Beanie wells, Moreno
RB: Ronnie Brown, Tim hightower, leon washington
WR: Reggie Wayne,
WR: Holmes
WR: Mario manningham, Hester
Te: witten, celek
D: Phili eagles
K: Gostowski

QB - McNabb is a bit under the rader this year and I think he will he will have a solid season. Edwards is a capable back up who has some upside with the addition of TO.

RB - I'm not as sure about MJD as you are as this is his first full season without Taylor so I don't know how he'll play but you seem to be fine with him so no problens. Brown should be better than last season now that he's had a full season after his knee operation. I like Moreno as a sleeper this season but I'm not sold on Wells or Mendenhall. Wells is already injured and Hightower should that he can be a good player last season. As for FWP injury, I haven't heard about it and once healthy, he will start after Mendenhall showed so little last year.

WR- Wayne is a solid starter along with Holmnes. I'm suspect about Bryant now that he's lost his QB but there are some decent prospects on the bench who will hopefully pick their game up.

TE - Witten is the top TE so no probs.

i'm not that big of a fan of it

QB is decent with McNabb

MJD/Brown could be huge, but they could also disapoint. having all unproven rookies for backups would worry me

WR: Royal should be starting for you over Holmes. i'm not sold on Holmes or Bryant though

i think it's a team with a lot of ???'s. if everything goes great, then you should make the playoffs, but i could just as easily see some of these guys struggling and your team being terrible

I have to agree with Lambskin on this one. Although I think I would be a tad more optomistic.

Good luck with your team.

Yeah i'm rly high on MJD, but i couldnt take forte cause he was picked and turner and AP were too. So i figured he'd be the second best choice. I like ronnie brown but agree could be risky.

The mcnab pick i was iffy on too. I was actually about to pick matt ryan but he got snagged before mcnab. And sinc ei drafted late it was go with mcnab and hope he has a rebound or pick a lower Thanks for the info guys. player. Which is why i got edwards later on.

Any tips on how i can make it stronger, trades i should look into or anything?

MJD at fourth was a great steal. You just need a better WR2. Antonio Bryant had a career year... never expect people to mimic a career year. I'm loving McNabb this year, he's a very consistent QB and the eagles team will be in tip top shape since Jim Johnson passed away.
