Dynasty Re-Draft Help

Postby Renshaw » Sat Aug 15, 2009 3:18 pm

14 Team Dynasty League. In the process of our re-draft/rookie draft, and I'm trying to figure out which way to go. Should I draft another RB for depth, a WR for depth so I can deal one, a kicker to replace Vinatieri, or an IDP.

Here are the top available players at each position:

QB Thigpen, Garcia, Rosenfels, Anderson, McCown, Leftwich, Vick, Ratliff
WR Ma. Clayton, Austin, S. Rice, Mi. Clayton, Curry, Mi. Walker, Britt, Iglesias, Randle El, Nelson, Northcutt, Floyd, Gaffney, Stokley, Urban, Wade, Reed, Booker, Lloyd, Haskett, Battle, Stuckey, B. Jones
RB Taylor, A. Brown, Morris, Choice, C. Williams, Jordan, Wynn, Walker, Pittman, Darby, C. Brown, Gado, Smith, Cobbs, Henry, Tolbert, Weaver, J. Davis,
TE Celek, Scaife, Miller, Lee, Stevens, Heap, Graham, Smith, Lewis, Bennett, Watson, Clark,
K K. Brown, Akers, Kasay, Elam, Hartley, J. Brown, Bryant, Nedney, Suisham, Janikowski, Mare, Carpenter
IDP Barton, Bradley, Tinoisamoa, D. Jones, L. Hall, Barber, Porter, McDonald, Griffin, Cooper, Cole, Page, Mathis, Meriweather, Winborn, Spikes, A. Rolle, Flowers, Bullocks, Hope, Blackmon, Rogers, Ellis, Haynesworth, Elam, Kiwanuka

Here's my team (I have to drop one, but I'm leaning towards Torain):

QB Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn
WR Roddy White, Marques Colston, Vincent Jackson, Santana Moss, Bobby Engram, Amani Toomer, Brian Robiskie
RB Maurice Jones-Drew, Clinton Portis, Tim Hightower, Brandon Jackson, Jerome Harrison, Ryan Torain
TE Heath Miller
K Adam Vinatieri
IDP Terrell Suggs, Aaron Kampman, Channing Crowder, Mike Peterson, E.J. Henderson, Adalius Thomas, Chris Gamble, Antonio Cromartie

Any help is appreciated.

I would go RB depth with Taylor, who will get a lot more touches than Torain, I'm guessing. I live in Indy, though not a Colts fan, and Vinatieri is a fading star IMO. If Elam's available, I might consider it. Swapping Torain for F.Taylor would be a great upgrade, I think.

Taylor seems to be 3rd on the depth chart behind Morris and Faulk...and then there's Maroney there too, isn't there? I just don't know how many touches he'll get in that situation, though more than no-team Torain.

If anyone else has any input I'd love to hear it. My pick passed, but I can make it up at any time. I only have the one pick right now, so I could just go Elam and get a new kicker. I think it's down to RB depth, a kicker or defense.

I'd drop Torain (no question) and draft a J.Davis RB Cle... has the upside to take over for Lewis.
