Dynasty League Question ... WHIR

PPR - Dynasty League - $260 Salary Contract League

Chris Cooley ($8 - 2year contract)

for

Antoino Gates ($15 - 3 year contract)
Derek Anderson ($1 - 4 year contract).

I would like to have Gates but them I am stuck with Anderson taking up a spot on my bench for the next 4 years. Our league starts 22 and has 10 reserves.

What do you guys think?


Scoring Offense:
Recp = 1pt (+2 for 6 or more recp in a game)
TD = 6pt (+3 for 40+ yard, +5 for 60+ yard)
Yard = 1pt for 10 yards (+3 for 100 yard games)
FL = -1pt

Well I think that it is an obvious upgrade at te for you and you would be set with that. The downside is you are stuck with Anderson on your roster for four more years. Now will DA have a turn around season and go back to his 07' form? If that happened you would be sitting in a great spot with that. But I don't see that happening, and with him still battling for the starters spot I don't see this happening, but then again you never know. If you can afford to make this trade and do it for Gates, go for it.

I would definitely take this Gates is a nice upgrade over cooley and anderson has talent, and hes only $1... If he wins out the battle at Cleveland and braylon edwards learns how to catch =P he could have a decent season.. I think the upgrade to Gates is worth the "wasted" roster spot!

I would absolutely do this deal!!!

Gates is a beast and will be a top TE for years to come (he said he's ready to shine this year)

and so what if you have to take up a spot with Anderson for a few years.....I am sure (hopefully) that Anderson will have at least a couple good/great years during that span (if not all of them)....so definately take this and good job!

Take that trade you have deep benches and it is only taking up $1 for a guy who "could" actually provide you with some decent numbers and Gates will continue to be great for you at TE.
