Weirdest Draft Picks You've Seen This Year

We had a gut draft T Brady with his first pick then followed by J Delhomme with his next pick...

Marion Barber picked at 1.10 followed by the same guy picking Felix Jones at 2.3. And overall, this is a pretty competitive league.

One friendly league I play in for fun Kurt Warner and Rodgers went higher than Brady. It was the night after his shoulder injury in the Redskins game BUT STILL.

I was laughed at when I picked "Earl Bennett" with my pick in the 15th round...

In a competitive money league, one guy took T.O. ahead of S. Smith, G. Jennings, Boldin, and Wayne. These were his reasons...I just had to shake my head.

Smith - Claimed he is on the decline and that his numbers have decreased the last 3 seasons. Well, he led the league and set a career high in yards per game (only WR at 100+) last year.
Jennings - Said he was unproven and he didn't consider him a stud.
Boldin - He referenced a Super Bowl curse...no, I'm serious. That was his reasoning.
Wayne - Said that Manning is "supposedly" going to suck this year...per some ESPN fantasy analyst...so by extension Wayne will suffer.

The rest of us laughed...you should have seen the clutter on the draft message board with that pick.

Another guy grabbed Derrick Ward in the 3rd round...I just felt bad for him though. He gets panicky sometimes and buckled under the pressure. Strange. He knew he screwed up right after he picked him too.

in my $10 office league, a FF rook/redskins fan picked Cooley in the second round of a 10 team league followed by Santana Moss in the 3rd, then a kicker in the 5th. He was getting messed with hard in chat.

I don't think that's that strange of a pick at all. I see pluses and minuses to each of those 5 receivers and wouldn't bat an eye if any they got drafted in any order. When he's having a good year, TO probably has the highest ceiling of any of them but I could also see him dropping behind the others due to character and quarterback concerns. It just depends upon how someone individually feels about all of them but in my mind, they're all basically interchangable.
