Keep 2 / PPR League / 10 Teams

Postby dickt01 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 12:10 am

OK, here's the issue at hand, i'm in a "keeper" league (2 players), we draft 16, it's a PPR League, and we have a strait draft (not serpentine), i pick 10th in each round due to winning the championship last year, the three players in question are:

a) Larry Fitzgerald / WR / Ari
b) Steve Smith / WR / Car
c) Chris Johnson / RB / Tenn

which two do i keep? I'm leaning Fitz and Johnson, knowing that a top tier RB will be know where in sight at the 10th (30th pick) if i don't keep Johnson, looking for any and all ways of looking at this, and i know Steve Smith is a stud :-( ....... let me have it. :-[

thanks,

I don't think there is any way that you don't keep Fitz and Johnson. Steve Smith is good, yes, but he has been fairly inconsistent the last couple years, AND plays on what is quickly turning into a run-first offense...

i agree to go with Fitz and Johnson, but i would be a little slower then most in saying that Carolina is quickly becoming a run-first offense... you have to remember that Delhomme is now one year removed from all the elbow issues, and last year they were really tentative with him because they didn't want another injury to him, he only attempted 30+ times last year in 3 games, going back to his last healthy year in 06-07 even with missing 3 games he attempted 30+ 9 times, 05-06- 6 times, 04-05- 10 times... i look for the passing game in Charlotte to become much more active this year... but again i think you HAVE to have a keeper RB to make sure you have one great one on your squad so Fitz and Johnson are my picks...
