10 man, .5 pt per Reception League

Postby Wolfpac11680 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:54 am

My team is getting killed in pre-season ranking polls and I obviously don't agree (am i wrong)

Its a 10 man league, standard scoring except .5 pt per reception (6 pts for all TDS, except 4 pts for passing TDs)

We can start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, TE, K , Def.

How does my draft look to you gentleman???

QB -Palmer, Edwards
RB - Portis, Ronnie Brown, Donald Brown, Felix Jones, Cedric Benson, Jamall Charles
WR - Wayne, Jennings, Eddie Royal, Kevin Walter, Nate Burleson,
TE - Carlson
K - Akers
Def - New England

First the good, Wayne and Jennings are very nice and will reward you nicely as well. Portis is always one of my favs and Brown has lots of upside (Im assuming he starting at the flex position).

Now the bad, you have way too many RBs. In a 10-teamer, no reason for Benson or Charles to have even been drafted. Your QB situation is shaky, and although Palmer cant do any worse then he did last season, Housh is now in Seattle catching balls, so ALOT is riding on Ocho Cinco to get back to form and Benson to somewhat resemble a decent running back. Edwards is throwing to Owens and Evans now, so he be better than many think, but still not a fantasy starter.

Definitely see if can better your QB situation via trade, look for buy-lows early in the season.

Good luck.
