14-Teamer, PPR, IDP, Starting 2 QBs---WHIR

Postby mykedoc77 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 11:01 am

This was one of the longest drafts I have been a part of in quite some time---25 rounds and 1h and 15m later, this is my squad (see below)---very draining.

Im not a fan of McNabb (his injury bug is always a concern...knock on wood), but he should produce very well in that Eagles offense. The only issue is that McNabb and Ryan have the same bye week.

My RBs concern me, although I really like Sproles at the flex position. J Stew and Fast Willie should yield me at least 2000yds and 10-12 TDs combined...we'll see. The pride and joy of my team are my IDPs.

Im leaning heavy on trading McNabb for another QB, straight up, but not sure yet. All thoughts and comments are welcome...WHIR!!!

QB - McNabb, Ryan
WR - AJ, Moss
RB - Stewart, Parker
TE - Miller
W/T - Chambers
W/R - Sproles
K - Rackers
BN - Russell, Norwood, F. Jackson, S. Smith

DEF - Green Bay
BN - Washington

D - Willis, Beason
DL - M. Williams, Tuck
DB - G. Wilson, Atogwe
BN - Ryans, Suggs, J. Wilson

Was there any hope for any other RB's? I'm not sure Parker will hold up this year after the last season. Mendenhall is back this year and he could steal the show from Parker in Pitt. I'm assuming your S. Smith is the Giants' Smith since he's on your bench, if it's Carolina's you need to play him in your flex position.

Also who are you looking to get for McNabb...I don't think there's many out there who will trade him straight up unless they're a Philly fan.

Idk man. Your WRs are going to have to both have huge huge years to carry you through this season. I do like Mcnabb and Ryan, I think Ryan will have a huge year. RB wise you could really struggle. I also think Mendenhall is going to tear it up the second half of the year. Pray that Moss and AJ get 3000 yards and 24 TDs between them and you will be ok.

I can tell you went WR/WR ;) Your RBs concern me a bit like you mentioned, as does Chambers. Both of your RBs are ceding carries to someone else, and both are pretty rancid pass catchers. Your total projections for them seem fair, although I think 2k yards might be a bit high since almost all their yardage will be rush yardage, and both do have some injury history. I'm also not a huge fan of Chambers...I might try shipping him away to someone higher on him. Gates, LT, Sproles, VJax are all higher on the pecking order than him for sure, and I can only assume the team wants to get Floyd more involved for future purposes after what they saw from him last year. I wouldn't be surprised if S. Smith took over your W/T spot. IDPs look fine.
GO PATRIOTS!

It is a PPR, so I can see grabbing stud WRs. But as has been said before, your RB corps worry me. That being said, if you stay active on waivers you should be able to find good RBs as the year goes on. They always pop up during the season.

You might even be able to package F Jackson and one of your stud WRs for a stud RB and a solid WR like Welker, Housh, or Royal. Guys like that still produce big time in PPR.

Good luck! Please see mine:

Yeah, I probably could have...White, McFadden, and Moreno were still on the board when I drafted Stewart.

As for trading McNabb, dont know who I will get straight up, I may have to package him with one of my lower end RBs or WRs.

gunna have to agree with the others... RB is going to hurt bad. Stewert i think will be ok but parker is more of a backup option IMO. I would forsure try to package McNabb or Ryan for a RB.
