Need Help With Keepers

Postby erdmanski1341 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 8:07 pm

I need help choosing 3 out of these 4. It is a QB friendly league (TD=6points) and not PPR.

Deangelo Williams
Steven Jackson
LaDainian Tomlinson
Drew Brees

I'm almost sure on Brees, which 2 RB's would you keep?

Drop LT.

I know it's hard but he may already be "done". Even if he isn't, he still has little to no future value.

I would probably agree with dropping LT...anyway you can package LT and Deangelo for Adrian Peterson or Michael Turner?

Just a thought.

I think LT will outscore a lot of RBs this year and could easily be the #1 back again. Are you in a position to win it all? If so, LT will outscore Deangelo this year.

What?! Drugs are bad for you, mill.

DWill will outscore SJax and LT.

I"m going to make a list of all these DWill bashers and send all of you a big, fat "told ya so" after the season.

The problem is I like all 3, but they all have their cons. LT is getting older and has Sproles cutting into his workload, SJAX is the stud in St. Louis but has the injury issues, and DWill has a healthy Stewart taking carries. Might have to just draw a name out of a hat.

J Stewart isn't healthy...you have to look to trading LT and Dwill

anybody think maybe keeping all 3 RB's is a good idea?

it's an 8 team league and i can start 2 rb's and a WR/RB

could just keep LT, SJAX, and Deangelo and take my chances at getting a decent qb?

I think Brees is too good to let go, any thoughts?

I can see your concern with deciding what RB to drop/trade. Also, you did not include what you start on a given week (i.e. Flex, etc).

While QBs get 6 pts / TD, Brees isnt all that amazing in an 8 team league. I would venture to say that each team averages keeping 2 backs. Let's also say that the most QBs a team would keep is one.

If all seven other teams keep one QB, that means you would have 25 of 32 starting QBs to choose from. You could even redraft Brees depending on what slot you have.

In this case, I would guess RBs are at a premium, so I keep all three if you cannot make a big trade like those being suggested.

Thanks,

Since you can start 3 Rb's, I would let Brees go. You will be able to get a QB in the draft, but trying to get another stud RB who scores TD's and catches the ball is a lot more difficult. Target Qb's like: Rodgers, Rivers, McNabb, Romo, Palmer or Cassell in the draft. Hell, you might even be able to draft Brees.

Well with it being a qb friendly league Bress is a given. I would also have to say that DWill is a given out of these three. Now it is between LT and SJax. If it were one season, I'm taking LT this year, but with it being a keeper league I would have to go with SJax, mainly because of there age. Good luck.
