Okay, I had Jackson last year and he sucked donkey nuts. Let's not beat around the bush. For this year, I have the 5th pick in a 12 team draft. Would love to get Forte or MJD as my first pick, but it's looking like I won't get them. Most sites have Jackson ranked anywhere from 3-9 as overall best pick. My thought is that the Rams have a beaten up QB, no WR's so every team playing the Rams is going to put 8 in the box and stuff Jackson every game. Am I thinking wrong here?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog!
No. Simply because he's on a horrible team, seems to find a way to get injured every year, and is highly inconsistent on scoring.
I don't want a guy who will score 30 pts one game and get my excited... then 4 pts the next game. Sorry, same goes w/ Westbrook.
I would go LT over him at 5. If Forte is there, you take him though.
2010 12-team .5PPR QB - Ryan, Vick RB - S. Greene, Forte, Stewart, F. Jones, Sproles WR - Moss, Megatron, NYG Smith, Floyd, M. Williams (TB) TE - Cooley D - CIN (week to week) K - Bironas
I would rank LT, DWill, MJD, Forte all ahead of SJax this year. I'm just not sold on him playing for all 16 games, they don't have a proven passing game and Bulger has also been a injury risk. I'd pass on him, don't let him burn you two years in a row.
There are some very good points raised here. Obviously, if Forte, AP, MJD or Turner fall to me, I will jump on them. But the 4 guys in front of me do their homework as well. LT is getting older and they are passing more now to keep LT for the whole season. Johnson shares carries, Williams is a strong potential, or I could take my sleeper RB pick, Steve Slaton. I will go on record saying I think he is a top 5 RB this season. Had him last year and was one of my best players every week. I did contemplate taking Fitzgerald as this is a PPR league, but then my best RB would be Westbrook(should retire), Jacobs(too dumb to run left and right), Parker(shares carries with a younger RB) or Barber(nothing great last season in Dallas)
I do agree, the Rams have no other offensive weapons and so teams are going to load up on the run block. And the new OT's are rookies and 2nd or 3rd year guys. I could be wrong on the latter part of that statement though.

I would seriously consider taking DeAngelo Williams this year at #5. Obviously, you'd like to get him a little lower but I feel like it's a good risk to take at your draft position. The Panthers run the ball a ton and have a great offensive line. Remember that DeAngelo led the league in rushing TD's last year and really turned it on down the stretch. The main reason people are "down" on DeAngelo is that he is in a time share with a very talented young RB. Take a close look at Stewarts injury history and I think it's a no-brainer that DeAngelo will be a top 10 back in touches this year. Every year Stewart gets a left leg injury dating back to high school. Fractures, high ankle sprains, turf toe, etc. He is hobbled now and is an "old" young guy. I would take DeAngelo over S-Jax without looking back and you should consider it. Help me??
