I play in a 12 team, TD heavy league (6points for all TD's rushing and passing). A couple bonus points are awarded for length of TD and going over benchmarks (300+ passing, 100+ rushing).
So in short, TD's are big in my league. I have the 12th and 13thpicks this year and have formulated my top 13 and will pick two of these guys and am hoping S-Jax is already gone so I don't have to debate taking him.
1) AD 2) MJD 3) Turner 4) Brees 5) Brady 6) Forte 7) Peyton 8) DeAngelo 9) L.T. 10) S-Jax 11) Steve Slaton 12) Brandon Jacobs 13) Larry Fitzgerald
So I'm pretty sure that the top 3 QB's will be gone because good QB's can carry your team on a given week in my league. I'm hoping all three QB's are gone so I can take Rivers or Rodgers with my thrid round choice. Would love to have S-Jax gone but if he falls to me do I grab him with the 12th pick? Any other players that you add into my top 13 that I'm forgetting about (consider my scoring please)? Thanks and WHIR!!
Picking at the turn can be a gift or curse, personally, I absolutely love it. In your case with 12 teams, definitely looking at Slaton, Jacobs, maybe even Gore (if a Brady or Brees goes in round 1 with Fitz). At the turn you can draft any of these three back to back and have a solid RB core (preferably Slaton and Gore). You could go WR-WR here as well (any combo of AJ, Megatron, or Moss would suffice, Fitz will more than likely be gone) and then draft value at RB later (K. Smith, White, Moreno, DMC or the like), still targeting Rodgers or Rivers in the 3rd. Hope this help, good luck.
Well if that is where you ranked everyone than trust your rankings. I have always found that one or two guys fall and last a little longer than you would normally think, so someone may slip to you with your wrap around pick. I can see Jacobs or Slaton sliding to you with your picks, so I think you will be fine.

Thanks for your insight. I sure would love to be able to get Calvin Johnson with the last pick in the third round but obviously that's some serious wishful thinking. Chances are I'm going to go with Fitz, AJ, or Moss and then a Brandon Jacobs or maybe a Slaton. Just curious why you mentioned Gore? He has had a decent track record but seemed to have slowed down last year. Do the 9er's have a better offensive line? Why do you think he'll be better then last year?
Taking two of the big 4 recievers would be a crazy strategy and something I might consider. Then I could get my QB and then draft a crap load of RB's and wait for some of them to pan out. A little risky but intriguing. Especially because I could get Lendale in the 4th or 5th round and he actually does well in my league since he gets the goaline touches. Hmmmm...

Very wishful thinking about Megatron...not gonna happen. Any combo of the 5 above mentioned names is a good start. As for Gore, I like him this season because Singletary understands the talent he has in Gore and he has a very good FB blocking for him which helps. Gore, like Slaton, is also not in an RBBC situation. The WR-WR-QB strategy is risky but more common than you think, but will hurt you at RB a bit, believe me I know (I did that in 14-teamer and Im starting Stewart and Parker...enough said). But any combo of Smith, DMC or White aint all that bad. If you can get AJ/Moss and Slaton with your first two, Id take it. Good luck.

Thanks man. Here's a question for ya. I really think that I might eb able to get L.Fitz with my 12th pick because there will be three QB's going before I pick. Considering I play in a TD heavy league... would you prefer L.Fitz, Megatron, AJ or Moss?
Damn...thats a tough question. Im not big on the Super Bowl losers the following season. The next year they fall short---look at the last 5 years, Panthers, Eagles, Seahawks, Bears, and Pats---with that said, Fitz is out. I love Megatron, but he still plays in the D, so as good as he is there is still cap on how much he can do. So that leaves Moss and AJ. Both play on good offenses and both play along side ppr gems (Welker and Walter), but Moss has a nose for the endzone like no other. AJ will rack up receptions and yards, but he's never gotten more than 8 tds in a season his entire career. Moss has 8 double digit td season in 11 years, and with Brady back healthy, could easily see 15-20 tds this season...Moss is my pick.
i think its wishful thinking rodger will make it back at the end of the 3rd in a TD heavy league.
What are your yardage points.
I would avoid SJax in a td heavy league. the rams will not have many opportunities to score.
Fitz would be a gift at 12. I might even take Fitz and Moss b2b. So you can take White in round 6 or 7.
In order...If you don't really count yardage.
Moss Fitz AJ Calvin
How about of team like this.
In order of round Moss Fitz Mcfadden...im starting to like mcfadden Ray Rice...next up and coming rb. 5th round maybe a qb...any of these 4 here. In order... Warner, Mcnabb, Schuab, Rivers, Romo, Palmer 6th then take the best rb or wr. 7th round Donald Brown. 8th White.
not bad right. I would be happy with that. Bold draft strategy. You might not be excited by your rbs. But they are boom rbs.
