Hey all, in a 14 team league, h2h, default cats meaning 6 pts per TD for WR and RB with 4 pts per TD for QB, and 10 yards per pt for WR and RB and 25 yards per pt for QB. should i do this trade?
My Marshall (who seems like a walking bust everyday now, horrible QB, not happy, injury risk, may get traded and have to learn another playbook which could result in what happened to Roy Williams last year and put him behind) and my Julius Jones (who will start i know, i think he will get a lot of yards just low TDs.)
for his Lee Evans (i see TO taking double coverage and Evans should be good for his deep ball and should atleast repeat if not better last year's totals. Trent Edwards is looking great to) and I get a guy i covet in Willie Parker (i dont believe in mendenhall one bit, and i know tomlin is loyal to his vets and parker will get a lot of carries this year in a contract year)
that said what you guys think? here is my team
Qb Donovan McNabb WR Dwayne Bowe WR Wes Welker WR Brandon marshall RB Steven Jackson RB Joseph Addai TE Antonio Gates WR/RB Julius Jones
BN Mike Walker BN Mewelde Moore BN Brandon Stokley BN Chris Brown BN Pierre Garcon BN Jamarcus russell
I think if u r giving up Marshall...then u can possibly get more value than just FWP.
Marshall is still viewed as a better value than Evans...and Julius Jones can be termed close to FWP this year. Try for a counter trade of higher value. If u r really so high on FWP then remake this offer if the upgrade gets rejected !

All the best.
thanks man. any other opinions out there?
leave links i like to return the help!
and i am leaning heavily on doing this trade atm... need more advice please.
Man that's a tough one. Marshall is a ticking time bomb with injury concerns, a bad attitude, and off field problems, but he also has a lot more upside then Lee Evans if he's healthy, focused on his game, and staying out of trouble. I just don't see Lee Evans being better then Marshall, even with less coverage pressure on him thanks to TO. FWP is an upgrade at RB over Jones, but I think you loose too much at WR if Marshall does reach his potential. I'd say shop Marshall some more before you take this.
i think now is the worst possible time to shop marshall. he's pissing and crying about being in denver, he's coming off injury, he supposedly doesn't know anything in the new offense, he's a wreck. you won't get close to fair value for him. let him try to improve his standing in the preseason first. short of ripping his ACL, he can't look much worse, right??
i would sit back, hope he turns things around in the next 2-3 weeks, and then deal him before denver completely implodes during the regular season.

I like this thinking... its hard though when everyday there is a new negative report about marshall.. but ill wait a week or 2 and see... he cant have less value can he?
Sweet Moses, no. It doesn't matter who's throwing to Marshall; he's going to have a good year because he's a great receiver. Also, yes, Orton looked bad in his preseason game. Well, it's one PRESEASON game. Yeah, there's other turmoil surrounding him, but there's nothing coming back your way that makes it worth trading him.
Julius Jones actually has come potential this year given his new coach; I'd hang on to him as your 3rd RB.

Now let's examine the other half the the deal.
Lee Evans is a WR 3 at best. I don't care if T.O. is taking some coverage off him; he's not that great, and on top of it has Trent Edwards throwing to him.
As for Willie Parker, he's old and breaking down. In fact, you already have him on your team....his name is Mewelde Moore. This guy has potential to break out this season, and we could see him going in the 2nd round of next years drafts.
Marshall is the best player in the deal. Maybe in a year after he leaves Denver he will be in a better location. Although he will take short passes from orton and turn them into long gains. he is great after the catch.
Julius has a small upside in Seattle. Don't expect to much.
Lee Evans is talented but needs a strong #1 wr opposite of him in order to produce. Owens will be gone next season. Playing for a real contender.
FWP will be turning losing most his carries at the goalline. This has been common knowledge in Pittsburgh for years now. But he will get some opportunities to score close tds.
