WHIR Draft Strat. What Do you Think?

Postby SamsJags » Wed Aug 19, 2009 9:49 pm

Keeper League TD Heavy, 1 pt per 50yrds RB & WR with bonus going over 100. QB 200 1 pt and bonus going over 300. 6 pts for TDs

Keeping D. Williams, SJax, R Grant, and D. Bowe, will get Andre johnson in a Trade for My 1.4. Then have 2.5 & 2.6 picks....

Here is My ?, should I draft wr/rb, or wr/qb or qb/qb? Or just the best on the board?

Thank You for your help and Time on this Question. And I will help to the best that I can on yours.

what do you start? guessing you start the standard cuz you haven't posted otherwise this is my response...

i would go WR/QB or depending on what QB is there go QB/WR, with WR/RB taking a HUGE hit with the yardage per point this actually in my eyes makes QBs extremely valuable because its 6PT per any TD, even tho they only get 1 pt at 200 yards, check the this:

RB goes for 115 and 2 TDs = 14PT=Bonus
WR goes for 80 yards 2 TDs= 13PT no Bonus
QB goes for 300 yards and 3 TDs= 18PT+Bonus

so QBs on an 'average' 250 and 2TD still are looking at more points per week then RB/WR/TE...

so if there is a Brees, Brady, Manning, Rodgers type you HAVE to take them with that 2nd round pick... if not then yes i go WR/QB, or if a RB jumps out at you as great value you always take value over needs, but i like the WR/QB basing that off of no roster info or whats available in the draft...

help me out...

with your scoring, strong QBs will be huge point scorers. WRs who score a lot of touchdowns would be my next priority. there are plenty of vulture backs out there that you can use to fill out your RB depth in later rounds. i would go WR/QB or QB/WR depending on who's available.

i mean an RB would have to rush for 300 yards just to equal a vulture TD by TJ duckett... :-b

Yeah I hear you on the vulture RB. I guess that I should have said that the bonus is for 100 and then a point every 25 after that.

Like, D Williams gets 165 yrds and 2 tds is 18 points.

Thanks for the help guys.
