Better draft spot

Postby BMadd » Wed Aug 19, 2009 11:59 pm

OK, I have the 2nd pick in my 12 team PPR redraft, and have been offered to switch to either the 7th or the 8th. We trade position for the entire draft, not just the round. Right now I am taking MJD all day long at 2, but I am intrigued by the trade idea. My league is very RB heavy, and even though this appears to be the year to snatch up WRs early I don't think the guys in my league will do it. LY we had 22 RBs go in the first 2 rounds. If things fall as they usually do I am looking at something like MJD, Wayne, Pierre, braylon if I stay at 2. If I move to 7-8 I think I am looking at more like Slaton, Barber (I have to go RB/RB in this scenario), Roddy, Boldin. All of these picks are very plausible (word of the day on Sesame Street) in my league, but you can switch out someone in the ADP range of these guys and get the point.

The question is WWYD? WHIR Thanks

Why would you want to trade to a lower pick and get nothing in return? Keep the 2nd and take MJD!!

If you do trade, trade your 1st and 5th for his 1st and 3rd. Or something like that. At least you get a little in return for moving down. Do not make that trade straight up!
