Your Outlook on C. Johnson and L. White

Postby RBManiac » Thu Aug 20, 2009 9:43 am

I remember johnson being grabbed by someone in the 12th round last year(WOW...lol) And someone else picked up L. white the 5th round. even though johnson went in the 12th...no one really had any idea he would be a stud keeper, but are we forgetting about L. White???

C. Johnson

241 Carries

1228 Yards

10 TDs

YPC 5.0
_______________
LenDale White

180 carries

706 Yards

YPC 4.0

15 TDs

_______________

Chris johnson might be more of a recieving back, and has 1 more YPC then White, but most of that came from teams like DET with crap defenses.

White had more of the Brutal work...pounding it in with near goaline carries for TDs against teams like Pittsburg, Chicago, and JAX...something Chris johnson isnt meant for...TENN even talks about how they are gonna feed white more goaline touches, but less carries. I think alot will sleep on white, and he will be the MBIII of TENN.

So why so high on C. Johnson, and so low on white?

Would It be a great steal grabbibg L. white the 4th round in a 2nd year 3 keepers league?

Will white steal more TDs from CJ?

i think CJ4.2 is so popular because TDs are really hard to predict. yardage isn't as bad. you can look at the number of rushes a guy will get, look at his opposition, figure out his YPC, and get a decent idea of your yardage. CJ4.2 will post a ton of yardage next year, that's a given. TD's are anyone's guess. if they give CJ the ball at the 30, and he runs it in, bam, he's up 6 and he just vultured one from lendale. or if he gets tackled by the safety at the 3, bam, lendale gets it. 6 the other way.

i personally think their respective values are fine for this year, and are each getting drafted just about where they should be.

I don't think there's any doubt that CJ will not be the goal line back. It also seems very likely that Lendale will reprise the role he had last year. My strategy is to get and hold onto both which I did in my dynasty league last year. I'm generally against handcuffing, but in this case I think it's necessary. If White has really trimmed down and given up the Patrone I think it's very probable that he will see most goal line touches. If CJ would go down for some reason he could be a monster. So yes, I think it could be a steal grabbing White in the 4th round of a keeper league. Last year I picked him and CJ off waivers. Won me a championship.

wow...off the waivrers is even a better steal..lol

White is 30pounds less. and last year they fed him Goaline carries. so i put 2 and 2 together and we will see the same if not more from White this year

I would put White at a TOP RB2 with upside..if johnson gets hurt...look out ...we got ourselves a RB1!

am i right on point?
