Return to Draft, Trade, & Waiver Questions

Hi all. Looking for some advice. I am in a 12 team keeper league. I am going to be keeping V. Shiancoe for a 19th round selection (due to me picking him off of waivers last year). My question comes as this:
- Do I consider Shiancoe as a low/mid #1 TE now that Favre is in the mix? Or should he still be considered a backup?
I will be picking 8th in our league and my strategy (prior to Favre announcement) was to keep him as just a back up TE and take a top 4 TE with my 4th rnd selection.
Rnd 1] WR (unless one of my top 5 RB fall)
2] WR
3] Opposite of rnd 1
4] ?????
If I were to keep V Shiancoe do you think I should then reach up and take best available at 4? Do I still reach for a #1 TE or do I maybe take a QB? I really like palmer this year and there are other QBs that I can get around rnd 9 or 10 that have plenty of upside so I am looking to probably not go that direction. Opinions?

Okay, makes sense from your input there. Where does everyone feel TE's should be drafted in most leagues?

I too agree and think TEs should be drafted starting in round 7 in most leagues.

Favre loves TE's in the red zone. I have Shiancoe as the #10 TE going into the year now, with upside. I think he is a viable starter if you cant land a top TE. If you are in need of rb/wr depth, i think its reasonable to keep him, and go with best available player in the draft. If the best player available at some point happens to be another top 10 TE, dont pass on him, always good to have strong depth and trade bait.
