We start: 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 flex RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 DST, 1 K
QB - Donovan McNabb, Carson Palmer
RB - MJD, Brandon Jacobs, Fred Jackson, Chester Taylor, Laurence MAroney
WR - Roddy White, Donald Driver, Donnie Avery, Bobby Engram, Chaz Schillens, Earl Bennett
TE - Vishante Shiancoe
DST - Jets
K - Nick Folk
I like Donovan this year. Desean is going to have a breakout year (hopefully). Vick there, so lineups w/ McNabb and Vick, will release pressure on McNabb (Can't blitz rush him, when there is a chance he could had it off to vick, screen pass to vick, or hand it off to any other RB). Plus it will open up TD opportunities for McNabb (screen / fade) w/ vick under center, and McNabb at wideout, or slot and Westbrook in the backfield. So ya, I think McNabb will have a good year.
MJD is one of my favorite RB's. Garrard isn't a game winner, and MJD will be the work horse, + with the revamped O line and Tory Holt to force the corner back, MJD (I think) will be #3 this year, behind Forte (#1) and Turner (#2).
Brandon Jacobs is a TD machine, and w/ the loss of loss of the third back option, he should (I think) break 20 tds.
Maroney - I don't think he will be great, w/ a 4+ back by committee and Taylor leading the pack, and Brady throwing to Welker, Moss, Galloway and an actual receiving TE, I can't see him having a good year. (I think you'll end up dropping him for a waiver wire pickup later).
Taylor and Jackson. I think Taylor will break 700 yards and 5 TD's, as a double back option. Backup man coverage against Farve and stacked personnel focusing on AP. I like the PA to Peterson, screen to Taylor this year for them. Jackson, could go either way. W/ Lynch out for awhile, and a committee with Rhodes (which Jackson could win), he could be a decent RB (1000+ w/ 8 TD's) but it doesn't matter, w/ Jacobs and MJD.
White - I think he will have a break out year. You can only run the ball so much, and a stacked box waiting for Turner, will leave the #1 receiver (White) open for the bomb on a good play action. I like the PA slant or deep for white, with the inside or mid Gonzalez release for the Falcons this year). Should be a good year for white, Top 4 WR's. Behind Fitz, Moss, Welker.
The other WR's are decent. They should be able to keep up with the other WR#2 players in other teams teams in your league.
Vishante Shiancoe - He should be solid. But, it takes chemistry for a QB to get to his TE, especially w/ Farve's speed, so you may end up picking up a waiver wire TE, before week 4.
Jets - Meh, doesn't matter. If they suck, you can probably just get a waiver def / st team. I like Washington this year at Def/St. Picked up Albert , they have Hall and Landry. + A running back by committee (Portis/Betts) should keep other teams offenses off the field. I have high hopes for their defense this year.
Kicker = Who cares lol.
Let me know what you think of my analysis.
