1st pick in 14 team league

Postby TheBull » Sat Aug 22, 2009 1:30 am

I have the 1st pick in a 14 non keeper league..

It is obvious i should take AP #1...But what about my 2/3rd picks back-to-back...Any suggestions on who i should target...

I was also offered to swap drafts slots with the 6th pick and also the owner of the 8th pick....Thoughts?

If it's non-ppr then take Peterson for sure. Whether you should trade or not depends on how comfortable you feel drafting in that position. Keep in mind that 26 players will be coming off the board between each of your set of picks. It can be tough to judge who's going to still be available for you when it comes your turn to draft again. If it were me I'd try to do some mock drafts in that position and see how it goes.

I'd definitely lock up 2 RB out of your first 3 picks in a 14 team league. Otherwise you're looking at an ADP 56 for your RB2 and there might not be much left other than a promising rookie or a high upside backup. If you're lucky, somebody like a Pierre Thomas, Kevin Smith, Ronnie Brown, or Ryan Grant will make it back to you in the 2nd rnd and give you a pretty solid RB2. With your 3rd pick take the best WR available. You can hope there's still a Colston, TO, or Brandon Marshall left for your WR1.

i understand what the above poster is saying but i would personally go ap then go wr-wr after that or go wr-rb/qb depending on who is there...i really think it is important to get wrs earlier than later as you can get great value out of late round backs...rather than getting someone like marion barber or someone else in a rbbc

help me please
