Rookie Draft

Postby abrunn11 » Sat Aug 22, 2009 10:05 am

We have a (2) round rookie draft before our auction. Drafted rookies come in with a $0 salary. We have a $260 cap, 18 man roster, with keeper's salary increasing by $7/year. SO next season all drafted rookies would have a keeper salary of $7. We start (2) QB, (2) RB, (2) WR, (1) Flex, K, DEF/ST (No TE). 4 points for passing TD, 6 points for RUTD/RETD, 1 point for every 20 payd, 1 point for every ruyd/reyd. 12 team league.
I will have the 11th and 14th pick in the draft and I am trying to come up with a top 14 rookie ranking. I am not going to be relying on these rookies for production for this year, more so next year. This is what I have so far;

1. Moreno - Probably the cream of the crop with the biggest upside
2. Greene - I like his chances of being the starter by nect season
3. Harvin - Could be the second coming of Steve Smith.
4.Stafford - Guarnteed starter for the next 4 years after this year.
5. McCoy - Could be great when Westbrook goes down
6.Wells - I can see him starting by next season (Hightower being short yardage specialist).
7. Sanchez - See Stafford
8. Brown - If Addai continues to be banged up, could be a major contributor in Indy.
9. Maclin - Dynamic talent in a good situation
10.Freeman - Kind of a wild card but QB's are valuable in my league
11. Crabtree - Could be the best WR in the class. In a terrible situation.
12. Robiskie - Unknown
13. Nicks - Unknown
14. Heyward-Bey - Unknown

I would love some feedback on this list.

So am I assuming by this that you don't have anyone on your team yet?

I have Shaub, M. Turner, Kevin Smith, Calvin Johnson, Bowe, Shaun Hill, Culpepper are my keepers. I know for sure that Harvin, Moreno, Wells and Stafford will be gone before I pick.

If Harvin, Moreno and Wells will be gone, I'd go ahead and grab Greene. I agree with your thinking on him; he's in position to be the guy in New York next year, with a big OL in front of hm adn a new staff that likes to run it. He's a guy I'm targeting in my keeper leagues.

12. Bernard Scott - Supremely talented, in a good situation, needs to keep his nose clean
13. Kenny Britt- With Washington's Injuries, could be the #1. Not in a good passing situation.
14. Heyward-Bey - Unknown
