Crazy scoring for my league, could use some advice!!

Postby rick2894 » Sun Aug 23, 2009 4:37 am

I'm in a league with some insane scoring, here it goes.
0.5 pts per completion
6pts for passing td
-2 per int
-1 per sack

on top of that...20 yards = 1 point for returners and 6 pts for return TD

Not sure if anyone has played in a league like this, but i could use some help.

The return yardage scoring adds value to guys like Leon Washington, Breaston, Sproles, and Hester. They could make good flex or WR3.

Never seen a league with negative points to a QB for getting sacked.

Do a little research on sacks allowed, but it shouldn't be [i]the[i] determining factor.

I agree with the first poster. Leon Washington and Sproles would be good options at flex for this league. Love Leon Washington this year.

One more thing, Hester's not going to be returning all punts this year. He's not returning any kickoffs for the matter. Bears want him to concentrate on the WR position. They've been testing out other guys (Bennett, Graham - he's a defensive player) all preseason.

That really puts a lot of emphasis on a QB. LIKE A LOT. I would not hesitate selecting Brees/Brady/Manning anywhere in the first round.

Yeah, I dont know what position I'm drafting in yet, but I could see Brady or Brees being the #1 pick here. They both never get sacked, they get a ton of completions and TD's. I also thought of Leon Washington when I saw the return yards, but I dont know how early I should take someone like him. The draft is this wednesday, wish me luck !
