Thinking about 2010

Postby 011472 » Sun Aug 23, 2009 8:56 am

I'm considering a rebuilding focus in one of my auction keeper leagues. I'll do my best to field a balanced group of starters, but based on the players kept, and they're values, I think I'd be wise to sacrifice some depth to reload with guys who have potential to be big bargains in 2010. We keep 3 players (only 2 RBs) with a 10% raise in salary.

How do you rank the following in terms of potential opportunity for 2010 vs. cost that it will take to acquire them this summer?

Greene
Mendenhall
McCoy
M. Bush
B. Scott
R. Jennings

Greene - I like him a lot...he could be the future in NYJ land (man, I hate the jets!)
Mendenhall - I am mixed on him..he has looked not to impressive so far
McCoy - LOVE HIM!!...he is the best of the lot
M. Bush - could be thunder to McFaddens lightening
B. Scott - could be a sneaky pick....Benson only signed for 2 years and Scott doesn't look to bad
R. Jennings - nothing more than a backup, although he looks nice

In order: McCoy, Greene, Mendenhall, Scott, Bush, Jennings

I'll throw two other guys out there who i think could have big roles next year.
Jamaal Charles (KC)
James Davis (CLE)

I need help getting a grip on their skill sets tough. Is Charles more of a scat/change of pace back or would he be able to carry a full load if LJ is gone next year? Is Davis a more complete back? How would you rate them in regards to B Scott?

Mendenhall and Greene peak my interest the most of that group.
Parker will most likely not be retained next year and Mendenhall (if healthy) will shoulder the whole load.
Greene is in the same situation. TJones is on his way out and the Jets have a good offensive line.
