Please help me with my rookie only draft strategy!! I currently have the #1, #4, and #6 rookie picks in the first round, and then the #16 in the 2nd round. Due to this relative abundance of early picks, I can kinda run the first round. I have put on an offer to someone I know is in love with Harvin to move from #5 to #4 and give up an early 3rd rounder to do it.
I'm thinking about taking Moreno with the #1, and I'm pretty sure Wells will go #2, followed by either Brown or Crabtree at #3 (most likely Crabtree). What should I then do at #4? If I don't take Harvin, he'll go #5, and I can get Brown, Crabree or McCoy at #6.
At #16, I'm thinking about Stafford, Orakpo, or James Davis. Sorry, I'm a Skins fan and we do IDP, and I thik Orakpo will be huge!!
Moreno...by a mile DBrown Wells....You have to rank rbs high. Mccoy Crabtree...prototypical wr...but he may lack the explosiveness harvin possesses. Harvin...i might take him over wells.

Well, I ended up with Moreno, Wells and Crabtree. I actually got Bernard Scott at #16 as well, and Vick went all the way till my last pick in the 5th round (free agent).

Nice work...and Scott was my personal favorite at 16. I completely forgot to mention him. But I did think about it.
Can you please post the leagues top 10 picks? Curious....

I think Morneo is the # 1 right now, and with your 4 and 6 picks you should still be able to get Crabtree and Green / McCoy. We just had our rookie draft and Crabtree fell to 7th, which imo in a few years he is going to be the best player from this draft. I think with the dynasty you have to remember that you are drafting for the future and not this year. To me McCoy and Green are both in great situations to put up some big numbers in the next few years. Westy isn't getting any younger in Philly and they are starting to assemble a nice offense again. Green should be the starter in NY by next season, Jones will be gone after this season and Washington isn't more than a 3rd / change of pace type back. I can see one of these players being there for you at your 4 /6 picks along with Crabtree. So if you can trade with the guy, let him move up to #4, pick up a additional pick, and then get your guys at 5 /6 go for it. Good luck.
Here's how the draft went down. This is a 10 team dynasty league, with IDP, and 31 player rosters, so while there were some decent free agents, the vast majority of picks were rookies.
1 - me - Moreno 2 - Harvin (the league is based out of Norfolk/VA Beach Virginia where every has seen him play since high school, he was highly coveted) 3 - Brown (kinda made me cringe, was hoping for Wells to go here hoping for the Moreno, McCoy and Brown combo) 4 - me - Wells (had to take him, great combo with Moreno long term) 5 - McCoy (d'oh) 6 - me - Crabtree (had to take him if I'm building for 2-3 years out) 7 - Greene 8 - Nicks 9 - Maclin 10 - Ahmad Bradshaw 11 - Heyward-Bey 12 - Sanchez 13 - Robiskie 14 - Stafford 15 - Chris Henry (WR - Cin) 16 - me - Bernard Scott (was maybe thinking James Davis here as well) 17 - Ringer 18 - Orakpo (lots of Skins fans in this league) 19 - Britt 20 - Jennings
