How much of an upgrade is Boldin over BMarshall??

Postby drfro » Sun Aug 23, 2009 4:48 pm

We are drafting next weekend. Twelve team mandatory 2 keeper (different positions) league. I am currently planning on keeping Slaton and Marshall.

I draft 7/12 and the guy who is 12/12 wants to trade me boldin and his 6th(actually 4th after keepers) for my 4th rd (actually 2nd). I do believe Boldin is an upgrade but I think losing out on a [2nd] rounder and only getting a [4th] isn't enough. Marshall's hip and headcase antics are starting to worry me though.

FWIW i hear BMarshall is tearing apart the scout team.. If/When he makes it back to the starting lineup he is still going to take a hit with Orton throwing him the ball (should still be good though). Boldin even though he is unhappy with his contract would be the better bet.

I think both are beasts if the world was right......but it's not!

Sure, Boldin wants out but Boldin is not much for crying like a baby and he is still going to be a monster this year in a high powered offense! Boldin also is a good chunk better if both are fine but it's not and you seemed to answer your own question!

I wouldn't go to the extent of saying to stay away from all Broncos but definately stay away from Marshall. I would still take Orton and definately take Royal (he should go off this year with or without Marshall)

But......like you said, Marshall is a head case and a half and who knows if he will even play this year or play right!

I would take Boldin in a heartbeat and let someone else deal with Marshall's antics!

I agree, Marshall is going to be a mess, he is a headcase and will only cause problems to force his way out of Denver this year if they won't trade him. I would rather have Boldin on my team, but that seems like a pretty steep price to pay, I would keep working on the deal with him. Good luck.
