2 Trades: Thomas/Davis for Slaton & Olsen for Sproles

Postby haloswin2002 » Sun Aug 23, 2009 5:14 pm

I am in an 18-team dynasty league standard non-ppr scoring. We start QB, 4xWR, 3xRB, 1xTE, 1xK, 1xDEF

My team:
QB: Delhomme, Leinart
RB: Pierre Thomas, White, Michael Bush, Sproles, McCoy, Donald Brown, Jennings, James Davis, Bernard Scott
WR: Calvin, Colston, AJ, Bess, Malcom Floyd, Dillard, Schilens
TE: None
K: Hanson, Scobee
Def: NE, BAL

Should I accept?
Pierre Thomas/James Davis for Steve Slaton.

Additionaly, I have been offered
Sproles for Greg Olsen

my answer to you is yes in a heartbeat

yes Thomas is on the rise in a pass happy system but Slaton is going to be a main focal point of an emerging offense happy team that is not only gona give him huge carries but utilize him in the passing game as well.

Unless you have hug confidence that James Davis is gona break out, you still have a couple guys in front of him that should def. out perform him

That's what I think but I guess you could argue Pierre is on the rise just like Slaton...IMO you gota take Slaton hands down

I definately would!!!

Slaton is going to be Big this year, Pierre is still up and coming on a Receiving first team and has Bush in the wings and Davis is backup material at best!

Do it and Do it NOW!!!

Thanks guys, I will go ahead and pursue this trade. On a related note (same roster as 1st post), what do you think about:

Sproles for Olsen

I need a TE, and Sproles will never really be a feature back. I already have McCoy/Brown/Michael Bush/Bernard Scott/Rashad Jennings on my bench.

I love PT but Slaton is a young and really good. Davis just gives you more depth for the long run.

Sproles for Olsen. I love G.O but Sproles might be a stud in 1-2 years. LT is 30 and being a 18 team league I think I will pass on this.

What TE are in the pool? Who has 2-3 on their roster that you could trade a lower end guy and get one?

There really isnt anyone available. I just picked up Martellus Bennet who I think would be good, if given the opportunity. The only other guy I even see on the waiver wire is Travis Beckum.

Looking at the yahoo rankings, the 4 highest rated available are:
Billy Miller
Alge Crumpler
Robert Royal
Dante Rosario

Thanks guys. I am still undecided on the Olsen/Sproles deal, but will go for Slaton.
