We can keep any 2 players from last year's roster as long as they weren't drafted in the first 3 rounds and there is no limit how long we keep the players. My keepers this year are Adrian Peterson (I drafted him in the 4th round 2 years ago) and Matt Forte (drafted him in the 4th last year).
Based on everyone's roster from last year, these top tier players can't be kept:
MJD
LT
SJackson
Gore
Fitzgerald
Brees
Brady
Portis
Westbrook
Manning
Jacobs
We start 1 RB, 1 WR and 3 RB/WR as well at 1 QB
6pts/TD and 1pt/10yds for RB/WR
4pts/TD and 1pt/25yds for QB
I typically like to roll with 3 or 4 RBs and 1 or 2 WRs in my lineup unless the WR matchups are really good.
I anticipate MJD going for sure and most likely LT. I'm guessing I will have to decide between Fitz, Brees and Brady and maybe a RB like Gore or Westy. Anyone have any thoughts as to whether I should go with a stud WR, a top QB or a RB like Gore or Westy? I'm kind of leaning towards a WR or a QB over a RB which I normally don't do. To me, Fitz might be the best pick for me because there is a decent dropoff in WRs available in our draft and I think having a stud WR is going to be key this year. I don't anticipate any of the players I listed being available at #20 in the 2nd round and I might be lucky to get Steve Smith, Boldin, Wayne, Colston, Owens, Jennings or Roddy White as my 2nd pick. Likely RBs available in the 2nd will be Kevin Smith, Thomas Jones, Lynch, McFadden, Pierre Thomas, and Addai. QBs likely available in the 2nd will be McNabb, Ryan and Schaub.
Sorry for the long post. Any thoughts on what my strategy should be? Top WR, top QB or Gore/Westy level RB?
