McCoy or Rice? - Dynasty League

Postby spider321 » Sun Aug 23, 2009 11:44 pm

I have my rookie/FA draft coming up soon. I may have the choice between the two.

I'm currently stacked at RB, so this pick is for the future.

Between LeSean McCoy and Ray Rice who would you take for the longterm? Why?

I would probably go with McCoy but it is close. IMO McCoy is more talented and in a better offensive system, he could put up big numbers this year if(when) Westbrook gets hurt again.

Hmmmmmm.....WoW......this one is tough and to start, you can't go wrong either way!

Rice I would take for a more immediate impact who will also be great for the future

McCoy will have to wait until Westy get's hurt or leaves (which shouldn't be too long)

I would have to say Rice though since he will make more of a difference this year as well as in the long run and MCCoy is going to have to wait a little while longer!

RAY RICE. No question about it.

Rice is the better talent.

Both were 2nd round picks... not so sure on the talent part.

Also remember.... fantasy has more to do with opportunity than talent in many cases...

I would take McCoy and the PHI offense if I didn't have to count on a RB this year... stash him away.

I"m going with McCoy over Rice. The biggest reason in the offense in Philly. They have drafted some top young wr's, have a solid offensive line, a top qb and top rb for him to learn from for the next year or so. I think that Rice will be good, but I think that McCoy will be the better rb of the two. Good luck.

OMG....you guys are trippin.

Ray Rice has the talent and the opportunity.

Yes they were both 2nd round NFL draft picks. So what!!!!!! Chris Henry(rb titans) was 2nd rounder i believe and he sucks.

Ray Rice will be the man in Baltimore for at least the next 5 seasons probably more. And he is the #1 rb right now. In a cam cameron offense. The same Offensive Coordinator who called and designed plays for Ladanian Tomlinson in his hey day.

Shonne Greene although a good runner has no receiving ability. He cannot catch the ball. Word from jets camp is he has hands of stone. Which means he will not be on the field for 3rd downs. Not good

SPIDER321...dont ever listen to me again after this...But trust me and take Ray Rice. ;-D

If he had to pick a starter for 2009 I would agree. But he's stacked at RB. I think Rice can be very good, and he is young. But... I also believe that McCoy has a much bigger upside -- he's not Westy, but he can pile up similar numbers with an opportunity. Reports out of camp have been very positive. He's the perfect RB to stash if you are deep at the position.
