Pretty standard PPR scoring except for 1 thing, TEs are important. Double what a WR gets and thats what a TE gets scoring wise, so in the end a top tier TE will score roughly the same points as a top tier WR.
Basically if a WR gets 1 pt for 10 yards, a TE gets 1 pt for 5 yards, etc.
So, with that in mind, 10 team league, I picked 2nd overall...my 2 keepers for this season were Ca. Johnson and M. Ryan (we only keep 2 and has to be after certain rounds from last draft).
Starters QB-Matt Ryan RB-MJD RB-C. Portis WR=Calvin Johnson WR-M. Colston TE-Z. Miller K-N. Kaeding D-PIT
Yes, we carry a very deep bench due to it being a partial keeper league and FA transactions cost money that goes to the overall pot.
I figure my weakest position both starter and depth wise is TE, then QB but my RBs and WRs are solid both starters and backups.
Heck, in our league the starting lineup is almost completely flex after 1 QB/K/D, with the only rule that you can only have a max of 2 RBs and 2 TEs, but you don't have to start any of either.
So, worst comes to worst, if Z. Miller sucks, I can play Cotchery or Driver. However, with the blowup potential of TEs in our league, its always a good idea to start one.
Your RBs and WRs are awesome and Ryan could turn out to be special. Expect McFadden to get hurt this year (gut instinct) or to not play as a stud (think SJAX on the Rams...these are still the Raiders), so deal him immediately for a top-TE. You don't need all that RB depth. You need TEs in this league. Also, look for Brent Celek on the waiver wire. I think he will be a top-6 TE this year.

I like what I saw from Ryan last season - should be fine at QB; although as your entire QB depth is young, they carry some risk. WR is very deep as you say and might have enough depth to cover a lack of TE scoring, although I would have liked another mid-range Tier 2 WR to pair with Cotchery as there are a few question marks with his team and his QB this season. RB's run your team with MJD and Portis, and a high upside McFadden to back them up.
Overall - a fairly young team with high upside potential (which bodes well for your keeper format)
The problem with trading McFadden for a TE is 2 fold.
1. He won't pull a top tier TE in our league. I got McFadden in the 7th round, top tier TEs are gone by the 2nd round (when I picked at 2.9 the best TE left was Z. Miller and K. Winslow, even Cooley was gone). 2. Our keeper rules are that you can only keep a guy for 1 year extra, and it has to be 1 guy that you picked 6th round or later, and 1 guy that you picked 13th round or later. As I look at it now, McF and Lynch are my best 6th round keeper options and M. Stafford is my best 13th round keeper.
I could probably pull a top tier TE if I'm willing to trade Colston and McFadden but not McFadden alone.
I was thinking about packaging M. Ryan with a Cothery/Driver type WR for A. Rodgers.
One last thing, Brent Celek was drafted...trust me, TEs go in this league. About 25 are drafted each season, its the only league I've ever been in where you have to tier up more than 12-15 TEs before a draft.
I like what I see from Atlanta so far this pre season and Matt Ryan should be solid for you.
You got alot of depth at WR, which is good because I don't know how much you can expect out of Calvin Johnson this year, the QBs throwing the ball to him bring down his value in my opinion.
Your RBs look pretty solid, but lynch is suspended for the start of the season so a injury could be devistating to you early on, also C. Portis will no longer be the 3rd down back so he will be getting less touches and may take a hit on goal line carries as Betts is moving into that role.
I like the depth at WR/RB and at the sound of you league, I dont think Fasano will be that bad for you. He had about 500 yards receiving last and 7 TDs. I have been pretty impressed with Ryan and I'd be reluctant to package him, specially since he just got himself another weapon in Tony Gonzalez. I like whats happening down there in Atlanta.
Thanks to deluxe_247 for the bad ass sig banner! Quick and great work. Lets Go Patriots!!
I agree with most of it.....ATL will be the team to beat in their division. Dont need to try and get Rodgers. Also, I agree strongly with the Fasano mention. I dont have the numbers, but I am pretty sure a large portion of his numbers took off in the later part of the year. Between Miller and Fasano, you should be able to play matchups, or not play a TE at all with the depth of your WR core. Best of luck this year!
Interesting format of the league. I think you have good depth at WR/RB, the only thing that worries me about your WR is some of the QB's throwing to them - C. Johnson and J. Cotchery. Other than that solid team. I like Matt Ryan at QB and the possible upside potential of Stafford.
Well, Ryan is a great keeper... but, I kind of like the idea of trading for Rodgers. He looks like the real deal. Turner steals a lot of TDs from Ryan and Rodgers is on point on some Tom Brady status kind of tip. He throws accurately, often, and for TDs. Grant just isn't as threatening as Turner when it comes to TD sniping. Other than that, I think you are stacked at WR/RB, like everyone else has said.... so it wouldn't be so bad to trade what seems like a little too much of yours for an elite TE. Stud RBs can usually be found on the WW as they come along, so try to package two of your RBs for a nice TE and hope to find something later on. At worse, you've upgraded your TE position and downgraded your bench. I think it is worth it, giving the potential to re-up that bench with WW finds.
