Please rate my team...WHIR

Postby FFBKING » Mon Aug 24, 2009 10:54 am

I am in a 10 team league with scoring as follows:
1pt every 25 yrds passing
4 Pts. a passing TD
-1 an int.
1 pt every 10 yrds rush or rec.
6 pts a rush or rec. TD
0.5 pts a catch

Start 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 2 WR/RB, 1 WR/TE, 1 TE 1 K 1 DEF

QB
A. Rodgers GB *
B. Rothlesberger PIT

RB
C. Johnson TEN *
K. Smith DET *
M. Lynch BUF (* when off suspension)
F. Jackson BUF
E. Graham TB
Jamaal Charles

WR
L. Fitzgerald ARI *
M. Colston NO *
B. Marshall DEN *
L. Evans BUF *
S. Holmes PIT (* Until Marshawn starts or possibly F. Jackson)
J. Morgan SF

TE
Cooley WAS *

K
Longwell MIN *

DEF
NYG *

I had the 10th pick. I don't feel great about my RB depth, but RBs were flying off the board quickly at a cost far higher than their ADP. Let me know what you think. Also, over the first few weeks with Marshawn out which 2 would you start out of Evans, Holmes and F. Jackson?

I like the team...very solid WRs, but like you said, with the depth of the starting roster, rbs may be a little lacking. CJ and SMith are a good one two punch for now, and out of the three, I would go with Evans and Jackson. Best of luck this year!

agreed with post above. Colston might be a small injury concern but you have enough depth to deal without him if he were to go down for a few weeks. Hopefully Marshall gets traded and he can hold better value but even if he stays in Denver he will still get his catches so i still think your ok. I am not to high on k. smith this year but others have said they think he will breakout so who knows time we tell. Definitely might want to look for a backup TE. Redskins had a terrible offensive year in 08 so hopefully things can only get better but i dont like him this year.

How bout my team?

Man you've got a boat load of talent on that team. RB depth is pretty good considering your squad. Just watch the wire, one good pick up and you'll probably be headed deep in the playoffs.

Only thoughts I'd give that hasn't already been said is to watch the wire for another solid TE to emerge... Since it looks like you can play a couple TE's you COULD possibly get some TD's out of say a John Carlson type or a Fasano on the wire vs. a struggling reciever. Just a thought not saying to go do it now.

I like your WR core nice job there.. Some red flags for Marshall and Colston (injury) but those could be real producers for you.

Good job grabbing Jackson with Lynch that gives you some depth. Graham could be a potential TD vulture to fill a gap situationally down the road.

Net net I think you have a very good "shell" of a team. I say shell because (at least with my squads) my team usually ends up far different at the end vs. when I started...
