Trade Schaub for Cassel and Delhomme? WHIR

Postby JaysFan » Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:37 pm

I am in 12 team 2 QB league and unfortunately I drafted Rosenfels so now I need a 2nd starting QB. Since there are 12 teams even the likes of Russel, Sanchez and Kerry Collins are drafted. I was just offered Cassel and Delhomme for Schaub. Should I take the deal?

12 Team 2 QB Re-Draft League

STARTERS: QB- Schaub, Rosenfels
RB- Forte, Wells WR- Jennings, Boldin, Ocho Cinco, Anthony Gonzalez TE- Cooley
W/R/T- Donald Brown, Antonio Bryant
BENCH: Michael Bush, Crabtree
D- Adrian Wilson LB- Laurinaitis, E. Sims, Bulluck
DT- Seymour DE- Tuck, Tapp
S- Gib Wilson CB- Cromartie, Ced Griffin
BENCH: Farrior, Rashean Mathis

Yeah I think I would. Sadly you don't have much choice and I don't think you'll get much better for Schaub. Playing in a 2 qb league myself there probably aren't many teams that have 3 starters to offer either.

BTW, Cassel has looked pretty comfortable in the preseason, which is saying a lot for someone with only 1 season of starting experience since HIGH SCHOOL and just switched teams.

You pretty-much have to. Sad to give up on Schaub, but that is a pretty solid offer all things considered. Your skill positions are all pretty stacked, so it's nice to not have to unload any of that. You need two starting quarterbacks, pull the trigger.

Here's mine: http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=441353 (Thanks!)

You absolutely have to make that trade! Favre is starting for the vikes, so you dont even have a starting QB! See if you can also pick up Stafford or Culpepper on the free agent list. Help me please... Heyward-Bay & C. Henry for C.Benson? The subject is listed below yours.

are there any qb's out there on the waiver wire at all? Shaun Hill? Anyone? Cause honestly I think I would try to hold out until closer to the season maybe after week 3 of the pre season games. If there is literally no other starters out there then yes this is an ok trade to make though but I would shop around a little bit, the guy offering you this isn't going anywhere it's a great deal for him.

Favre and Leftwich are the only starters not on rosters. Problem is our stupid league decided to lock all add/drops until Sept 7th at 9pm and then it's who's quickest to press the button. So I have a 10% chance probably of getting Favre, but will likely get Leftwich. So I could, if I get very lucky have Schaub and Favre but most likely Schaub and Leftwich, and maybe trade for a peice of crap QB like Bulger or Collins.

I'd stick with Schaub and just try for the Favre option, worst case scenario Leftwich.
