Sigh...how a girl picks her very first FF team...

Postby FFplayerfromMD » Mon Aug 24, 2009 11:02 pm

;-7 Hi all, first time playing FF...and this is my team...any suggestions or comments are welcome.

QB: Peyton Manning, Chad Pennington, Joe Flacco, Mark Sanchez
RB: Michael Turner, Ray Rice, Felix Jones, Jamal Lewis
WR: Steve Smith (CAR), Anthony Gonzalez, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Deion Branch
TE: Kellen Winslow, Kevin Boss
PK: Josh Brown
TD: Dallas Cowboys

I think i need to revamp my RBs...Kevin Faulk, Dominic Rhodes, Justin Fargas and Michael Bush are still available...should I try and add those?

Thanks!

Dropping lewis for M bush might not be such a bad idea...Any reason why you are carrying so many quarterbacks? might be a good idea to drop one an pick up a fa reciever to give you some depth there.. overall you picked a pretty good team imo.

I would sit tight with your RB's. Jamal Lewis is the unquestioned starter and will see all the goaline work. Ray Rice is a sleeper this year and the Ravens want to get him the ball in space where he can be very effective. Turner should be a top five back this year. Felix Jones will see at least 15 touches a game.
All have more upside than Faulk, Fargas, Rhodes and Bush

hI Dolfan, I had to pick 2 extra quarterbacks because peyton and chad will have the same bye week.

Drop two of those QB's. Manning is no brainer start every week. You'll only need your second QB for one week out of the season.

Check you Waiver wire and get yourself some backup RB's and WR's.

Good Luck this year! Welcome to FF!

Sorry if this is a beginner's question...but don't I need 2 QBs every game? so if Chad and Peyton are on the same bye week, i'd have to quarterback that week. Did I misunderstand the rules?

It all depends on if it is a 2 QB league or a 1 QB league.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

yeah...so I have 2 quarterbacks who have the same bye week....and it's a 2QB league...so hence the 2 backup quarterbacks to cover that bye week.
